IT stručnjak Marko Rakar komentirao je u Novom danu N1 jučerašnji pad Facebooka, Instagrama i Whatsappa.

“Stručnjaci sa strane analizirali su problem i sve se svodi na dva detalja. Neposredni razlog zašto nismo mogli doći do kompletne Facebook infrastrukture je nedostupnost DNS servisa, to je nešto što sva računala koriste, on služi da se neka tekstualna adresa (npr. Facebook.com) pretvori u fizičku adresu računula na koje moramo pristupiti. A DNS je pao jer se očigledno dogodila greška u BGP protokolu, a to je de facto internet navigacija. Ona kaže kako da od računala dođete do adrese na koju vam je DNS odgovorio”, objasnio je Rakar.

Pale su sve Facebookove platforme jer su integrirane.

“Ako gledamo povijest antitrust odnosa Facebooka s američkim vlastima, postoji niz pritisaka da se Facebook razdvoji na svoje sastavne dijelove, a oni iznutra to ne žele napraviti, intenzivno integriraju Facebook, Instagram i WhatsApp, vi ne znate u kojem trenutku prelazite s jednoga na drugi”, rekao je Rakar.

Znači li to da su korisnikovi podaci s jedne mreže dostupni drugoj mreži, odnosno prepoznaju li algoritmi što ste gledali na Intsagramu da bi vam onda kasnije Facebook ponudio sličan sadržaj?

“Pitanje je rade li to oni doista, ali imaju tehničku mogućnost da to izvedu. Ovisno o jurisdikciji, negdje smiju, u Europi zbog GDPR-a vjerojatno ne, barem sigurno ne legalno”, odgovara Rakar.

Mnogi su nakon jučerašnjeg pada počeli predviđati katastrofičan scenariji da bi se mogao dogoditi fatalni krah Facebooka kao društvene mreže, no Rakar ne vjeruje da je takvo nešto moguće.

“Moguće je privremeno onesposobiti infrastrukturu, onemogućiti joj pristup, ali da dođe do potpunog kraha, to je gotovo nemoguće. Oni su decentralizirani na desetinama, ako ne i stotinama tisuća servera širom svijeta. Iznimno je teško zamisliti da bi takvo nešto bilo moguće. Ali uvijek postoji neko ali. U nekom trenutku će se netko sjetiti kako i to izvesti tako da teoretska mogućnost postoji”, rekao je Rakar.

I dok je na Facebooku vladao kaos, većina korisnika se očito preselila na Twitter čiji su čelnici pozdravili ekipu duhovitom objavom na svom službenom profilu.

“Bilo je zanimljivo svima osim ovima u Facebooku i tom jadnom čovjeku koji će dobiti takav otkaz da se više nigdje neće moći zaposliti”, komentirao je Rakar za N1.

IT stručnjak Marko Rakar komentirao je u Novom danu N1 jučerašnji pad Facebooka, Instagrama i Whatsappa.

“Stručnjaci sa strane analizirali su problem i sve se svodi na dva detalja. Neposredni razlog zašto nismo mogli doći do kompletne Facebook infrastrukture je nedostupnost DNS servisa, to je nešto što sva računala koriste, on služi da se neka tekstualna adresa (npr. Facebook.com) pretvori u fizičku adresu računula na koje moramo pristupiti. A DNS je pao jer se očigledno dogodila greška u BGP protokolu, a to je de facto internet navigacija. Ona kaže kako da od računala dođete do adrese na koju vam je DNS odgovorio”, objasnio je Rakar.

Pale su sve Facebookove platforme jer su integrirane.

“Ako gledamo povijest antitrust odnosa Facebooka s američkim vlastima, postoji niz pritisaka da se Facebook razdvoji na svoje sastavne dijelove, a oni iznutra to ne žele napraviti, intenzivno integriraju Facebook, Instagram i WhatsApp, vi ne znate u kojem trenutku prelazite s jednoga na drugi”, rekao je Rakar.

Znači li to da su korisnikovi podaci s jedne mreže dostupni drugoj mreži, odnosno prepoznaju li algoritmi što ste gledali na Intsagramu da bi vam onda kasnije Facebook ponudio sličan sadržaj?

“Pitanje je rade li to oni doista, ali imaju tehničku mogućnost da to izvedu. Ovisno o jurisdikciji, negdje smiju, u Europi zbog GDPR-a vjerojatno ne, barem sigurno ne legalno”, odgovara Rakar.

Mnogi su nakon jučerašnjeg pada počeli predviđati katastrofičan scenariji da bi se mogao dogoditi fatalni krah Facebooka kao društvene mreže, no Rakar ne vjeruje da je takvo nešto moguće.

“Moguće je privremeno onesposobiti infrastrukturu, onemogućiti joj pristup, ali da dođe do potpunog kraha, to je gotovo nemoguće. Oni su decentralizirani na desetinama, ako ne i stotinama tisuća servera širom svijeta. Iznimno je teško zamisliti da bi takvo nešto bilo moguće. Ali uvijek postoji neko ali. U nekom trenutku će se netko sjetiti kako i to izvesti tako da teoretska mogućnost postoji”, rekao je Rakar.

I dok je na Facebooku vladao kaos, većina korisnika se očito preselila na Twitter čiji su čelnici pozdravili ekipu duhovitom objavom na svom službenom profilu.

“Bilo je zanimljivo svima osim ovima u Facebooku i tom jadnom čovjeku koji će dobiti takav otkaz da se više nigdje neće moći zaposliti”, komentirao je Rakar za N1.

IT stručnjak Marko Rakar komentirao je u Novom danu N1 jučerašnji pad Facebooka, Instagrama i Whatsappa.

“Stručnjaci sa strane analizirali su problem i sve se svodi na dva detalja. Neposredni razlog zašto nismo mogli doći do kompletne Facebook infrastrukture je nedostupnost DNS servisa, to je nešto što sva računala koriste, on služi da se neka tekstualna adresa (npr. Facebook.com) pretvori u fizičku adresu računula na koje moramo pristupiti. A DNS je pao jer se očigledno dogodila greška u BGP protokolu, a to je de facto internet navigacija. Ona kaže kako da od računala dođete do adrese na koju vam je DNS odgovorio”, objasnio je Rakar.

Pale su sve Facebookove platforme jer su integrirane.
