Na Wall Streetu su cijene dionica znatno pale i u četvrtak, treći dan zaredom, pa su na putu gubitaka treći tjedan zaredom jer se ulagači pripremaju za povećanje kamatnih stopa američke središnje banke.
Dow Jones pao je 313 bodova ili 0,89 posto, na 34.715 bodova, dok je S&P 500 skliznuo 1,10 posto, na 4.482 boda, a Nasdaq indeks 1,30 posto, na 14.154 boda.
U prvom dijelu jučerašnjeg trgovanja ti su indeksi bili u pozitivnom području jer je dio ulagača procijenio da je, nakon dva dana oštrog pada cijena dionica, dobra prilika za kupnju.
No, kasnije je val kupnje popustio, pa su indeksi ponovno, treći dan zaredom, znatno pali.
„Čini se da nije bilo povjerenja, pa je kupnja izgubila na zamahu”, kaže Randy Frederick, potpredsjednik u tvrtki Charles Schwab.
Od 11 najvažnijih sektora, u njih 10 cijene su dionica pale, a samo je jedan, uslužni, blago porastao.
Nasdaq indeks zaronio je, pak, još dublje u područje korekcije, pa je sada oko 12 posto ispod rekordne razine, dosegnute u studenome prošle godine.
Posljedica je to daljnjeg pritiska na tehnološki, ali i druge dioničke sektore koji se temelje na rastu jer u očekivanju povećanja ključnih kamata Feda povišeni su prinosi na američke državne obveznice.
Na referentne 10-godišnje obveznice prinosi su dosegnuli gotovo 1,9 posto, najvišu razinu u dvije godine, dok su se još početkom godine kretali oko 1,5 posto.
Prinosi brzo rastu jer se špekulira da bi Fed mogao agresivnije zaoštriti monetarnu politiku nego što se očekivalo kako bi suzbio inflaciju, koja je dosegnula najviše razine u gotovo 40 godina.
Analitičari procjenjuju da bi Fed već u ožujku mogao povećati ključne kamate za 0,25 postotnih bodova, a potom još u dva ili tri navrata do kraja godine.
„U nestabilnom smo razdoblju, valuacije su visoke, kamate rastu, izgledi su mutni... ima više razloga za zabrinutost nego prije nekoliko mjeseci”, kaže Peter Tuz, predsjednik u tvrtki Chase Investment Counsel.
U fokusu ulagača su i poslovni rezultati kompanija, s obzirom da je počela sezona objava kvartalnih poslovnih izvješća.
Rezultati većine kompanija bolji su od očekivanja. Dosad je izvješća objavilo više od 60 kompanija iz sastava S&P 500 indeksa, pri čemu ih je više od 70 posto nadmašilo očekivanja po zaradama.
Nakon pada tri dan zaredom, indeksi su na putu velikih gubitaka treći tjedan zaredom. Od početak tjedna S&P 500 i Dow Jones pali su više od 3, a Nasdaq indeks oko 5 posto.

Na Wall Streetu su cijene dionica znatno pale i u četvrtak, treći dan zaredom, pa su na putu gubitaka treći tjedan zaredom jer se ulagači pripremaju za povećanje kamatnih stopa američke središnje banke.
Dow Jones pao je 313 bodova ili 0,89 posto, na 34.715 bodova, dok je S&P 500 skliznuo 1,10 posto, na 4.482 boda, a Nasdaq indeks 1,30 posto, na 14.154 boda.
U prvom dijelu jučerašnjeg trgovanja ti su indeksi bili u pozitivnom području jer je dio ulagača procijenio da je, nakon dva dana oštrog pada cijena dionica, dobra prilika za kupnju.
No, kasnije je val kupnje popustio, pa su indeksi ponovno, treći dan zaredom, znatno pali.
„Čini se da nije bilo povjerenja, pa je kupnja izgubila na zamahu”, kaže Randy Frederick, potpredsjednik u tvrtki Charles Schwab.
Od 11 najvažnijih sektora, u njih 10 cijene su dionica pale, a samo je jedan, uslužni, blago porastao.
Nasdaq indeks zaronio je, pak, još dublje u područje korekcije, pa je sada oko 12 posto ispod rekordne razine, dosegnute u studenome prošle godine.
Posljedica je to daljnjeg pritiska na tehnološki, ali i druge dioničke sektore koji se temelje na rastu jer u očekivanju povećanja ključnih kamata Feda povišeni su prinosi na američke državne obveznice.
Na referentne 10-godišnje obveznice prinosi su dosegnuli gotovo 1,9 posto, najvišu razinu u dvije godine, dok su se još početkom godine kretali oko 1,5 posto.
Prinosi brzo rastu jer se špekulira da bi Fed mogao agresivnije zaoštriti monetarnu politiku nego što se očekivalo kako bi suzbio inflaciju, koja je dosegnula najviše razine u gotovo 40 godina.
Analitičari procjenjuju da bi Fed već u ožujku mogao povećati ključne kamate za 0,25 postotnih bodova, a potom još u dva ili tri navrata do kraja godine.

U fokusu ulagača su i poslovni rezultati kompanija, s obzirom da je počela sezona objava kvartalnih poslovnih izvješća.
Rezultati većine kompanija bolji su od očekivanja. Dosad je izvješća objavilo više od 60 kompanija iz sastava S&P 500 indeksa, pri čemu ih je više od 70 posto nadmašilo očekivanja po zaradama.
Nakon pada tri dan zaredom, indeksi su na putu velikih gubitaka treći tjedan zaredom. Od početak tjedna S&P 500 i Dow Jones pali su više od 3, a Nasdaq indeks oko 5 posto.
