Ministarstvo znanosti i obrazovanja potvrdilo nam je da u osnovnim i srednjim školama više neće biti grupnog vaganja djece, javlja Jutarnji list.

Rezultat je to inicijative Centra za poremećaje hranjenja Bea, koja je nedavno upozorila da je grupno vaganje iznimno stresan događaj za mlade koji tek izgrađuju pozitivan odnos prema vlastitome tijelu. Kad bi doznali da ih očekuje grupno vaganje, neki bi učenici markirali iz škole ili se danima prije izgladnjivali kako bi izbjegli ono što je u njihovim očima predstavljalo stres ili čak poniženje. Problem traje desetljećima, čak i danas 40-godišnjaci potvrđuju da su se osjećali isto tako loše pri vaganju dok su sami bili učenici. Grupna vaganja, istaknuli su u Bei, omogućuju stigmatizaciju različitosti, međusobno uspoređivanje i vršnjački pritisak na djecu i mlade u razvoju.

Iz Ministarstvu znanosti i obrazovanja kažu nam da je u pripremi uputa za individualno mjerenje težine i visine učenika koju će poslati svim osnovnim i srednjim školama u Hrvatskoj. Jelena Balabanić Mavrović, psihoterapeutkinja i voditeljica Centra za poremećaje hranjenja Bea, zahvaljuje svima koji su inicijativu tako brzo prepoznali i što je sve riješeno ekspresno u samo tjedan dana. "Za to nisu potrebna nikakva financijska sredstva, samo malo dobre volje da se olakša djeci i da na taj način podržimo njihovu zaštitu dostojanstva i mirno odrastanje."

Neke škole i profesori tjelesnog sami su uvidjeli problem i prije te su samoinicijativno ukinuli javno vaganje, ali je bilo još puno škola koje nisu, pri čemu bi čitav razred, tj. sve djevojke ili svi mladići, promatrali vaganje i mjerenje visine svakog učenika. Pravobraniteljica za djecu Helenca Pirnat Dragičević također podržava inicijativu.

- S obzirom na djelovanje i iskustva u radu Centra za poremećaj hranjenja Bea, vjerujemo da imaju informacije o teškoćama, nelagodi i stresu koje proživljavaju mlade osobe koje se u vrijeme intenzivnoga tjelesnoga razvoja u pubertetu i adolescenciji često ne osjećaju ugodno u svome tijelu. Mnogi su u tom razdoblju nezadovoljni izgledom, osobito uspoređujući se s nametnutim 'uzorima' i rodnim stereotipima koji se često plasiraju putem medija, te zbog toga pate nerijetko. Stoga grupno vaganje može za neke od njih biti dodatni ozbiljni izvor stresa.

Međutim, neovisno o tome, smatramo da bi zbog poštovanja privatnosti svakog djeteta bilo bolje omogućiti individualno vaganje pri redovitom prikupljanju podataka važnih za praćenje zdravstvenoga stanja učenika u školi. Prema Konvenciji o pravima djeteta, svako dijete ima pravo na privatnost, ali nerijetko u životu djece ne prepoznajemo situacije koje zahtijevaju zaštitu privatnosti. Grupno vaganje u školi svakako je jedna takva situacija - poručila je pravobraniteljica za djecu. U Bei su sve pokrenuli zbog svojih korisnica, djevojaka oboljelih od anoreksije i bulimije, koje su ispričale koliko im je taj čin vaganja bio stresan.

- Htjeli smo ih zaštititi. One se ne žele izlagati, isticati svoje tijelo. Drago nam je da smo kroz mala vrata ušli u prostor koji će lišiti mlade jednog stresa. U toj dobi je samopouzdanje vrlo krhko, djeca još ne prihvaćaju svoje tijelo, ne osjećaju se ugodno odrastajući. To može biti subjektivno, neka djeca se ničim ne izdvajaju, a opet se ne osjećaju dobro u svojoj koži. Također, postoje i oni koji su po nečemu različiti i kritizira ih se - govori nam Balabanić Mavrović.

Dodaje da su temom grupnog vaganja otvorili i novu temu, a to je tretiranje pretilosti u javnom prostoru.

- Ljudi s pretilošću su ostali zadnja kategorija koju je dopušteno kritizirati javno. To je za njihovo dobro, često čujemo. Kako raditi prevenciju pretilosti, a zadržati dostojanstvo djece i odraslih, pitanje je na koje još tražimo pravi odgovor. Treba osvijestiti problem, a usput ne napraviti štetu da osoba ne razvije poremećaj prehrane - navodi Jelena Balabanić Mavrović i dodaje da je važna emocionalna pismenost ljudi koji provode preventivne programe, piše Jutarnji list.

U Hrvatskoj 35% osmogodišnjaka ima višak kila

U Hrvatskoj 35 posto osmogodišnjaka ima problem s prekomjernom težinom, pokazuje istraživanje Europske inicijative praćenja debljine djece CroCOSI. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da 35,0% djece dobi od 8,0 do 8,9 godina ima prekomjernu tjelesnu masu i debljinu. Na nacionalnoj razini je problem debljine veći u dječaka nego u djevojčica te iznosi 17,8% u odnosu na 11,9% u djevojčica. Istraživanje je provedeno u osam tjedana, od veljače do travnja 2019. na uzorku koji je obuhvatio više od 5000 djece.

Ministarstvo znanosti i obrazovanja potvrdilo nam je da u osnovnim i srednjim školama više neće biti grupnog vaganja djece, javlja Jutarnji list.

Rezultat je to inicijative Centra za poremećaje hranjenja Bea, koja je nedavno upozorila da je grupno vaganje iznimno stresan događaj za mlade koji tek izgrađuju pozitivan odnos prema vlastitome tijelu. Kad bi doznali da ih očekuje grupno vaganje, neki bi učenici markirali iz škole ili se danima prije izgladnjivali kako bi izbjegli ono što je u njihovim očima predstavljalo stres ili čak poniženje. Problem traje desetljećima, čak i danas 40-godišnjaci potvrđuju da su se osjećali isto tako loše pri vaganju dok su sami bili učenici. Grupna vaganja, istaknuli su u Bei, omogućuju stigmatizaciju različitosti, međusobno uspoređivanje i vršnjački pritisak na djecu i mlade u razvoju.

Iz Ministarstvu znanosti i obrazovanja kažu nam da je u pripremi uputa za individualno mjerenje težine i visine učenika koju će poslati svim osnovnim i srednjim školama u Hrvatskoj. Jelena Balabanić Mavrović, psihoterapeutkinja i voditeljica Centra za poremećaje hranjenja Bea, zahvaljuje svima koji su inicijativu tako brzo prepoznali i što je sve riješeno ekspresno u samo tjedan dana. "Za to nisu potrebna nikakva financijska sredstva, samo malo dobre volje da se olakša djeci i da na taj način podržimo njihovu zaštitu dostojanstva i mirno odrastanje."

Neke škole i profesori tjelesnog sami su uvidjeli problem i prije te su samoinicijativno ukinuli javno vaganje, ali je bilo još puno škola koje nisu, pri čemu bi čitav razred, tj. sve djevojke ili svi mladići, promatrali vaganje i mjerenje visine svakog učenika. Pravobraniteljica za djecu Helenca Pirnat Dragičević također podržava inicijativu.

- S obzirom na djelovanje i iskustva u radu Centra za poremećaj hranjenja Bea, vjerujemo da imaju informacije o teškoćama, nelagodi i stresu koje proživljavaju mlade osobe koje se u vrijeme intenzivnoga tjelesnoga razvoja u pubertetu i adolescenciji često ne osjećaju ugodno u svome tijelu. Mnogi su u tom razdoblju nezadovoljni izgledom, osobito uspoređujući se s nametnutim 'uzorima' i rodnim stereotipima koji se često plasiraju putem medija, te zbog toga pate nerijetko. Stoga grupno vaganje može za neke od njih biti dodatni ozbiljni izvor stresa.

Međutim, neovisno o tome, smatramo da bi zbog poštovanja privatnosti svakog djeteta bilo bolje omogućiti individualno vaganje pri redovitom prikupljanju podataka važnih za praćenje zdravstvenoga stanja učenika u školi. Prema Konvenciji o pravima djeteta, svako dijete ima pravo na privatnost, ali nerijetko u životu djece ne prepoznajemo situacije koje zahtijevaju zaštitu privatnosti. Grupno vaganje u školi svakako je jedna takva situacija - poručila je pravobraniteljica za djecu. U Bei su sve pokrenuli zbog svojih korisnica, djevojaka oboljelih od anoreksije i bulimije, koje su ispričale koliko im je taj čin vaganja bio stresan.

- Htjeli smo ih zaštititi. One se ne žele izlagati, isticati svoje tijelo. Drago nam je da smo kroz mala vrata ušli u prostor koji će lišiti mlade jednog stresa. U toj dobi je samopouzdanje vrlo krhko, djeca još ne prihvaćaju svoje tijelo, ne osjećaju se ugodno odrastajući. To može biti subjektivno, neka djeca se ničim ne izdvajaju, a opet se ne osjećaju dobro u svojoj koži. Također, postoje i oni koji su po nečemu različiti i kritizira ih se - govori nam Balabanić Mavrović.

Dodaje da su temom grupnog vaganja otvorili i novu temu, a to je tretiranje pretilosti u javnom prostoru.

- Ljudi s pretilošću su ostali zadnja kategorija koju je dopušteno kritizirati javno. To je za njihovo dobro, često čujemo. Kako raditi prevenciju pretilosti, a zadržati dostojanstvo djece i odraslih, pitanje je na koje još tražimo pravi odgovor. Treba osvijestiti problem, a usput ne napraviti štetu da osoba ne razvije poremećaj prehrane - navodi Jelena Balabanić Mavrović i dodaje da je važna emocionalna pismenost ljudi koji provode preventivne programe, piše Jutarnji list.

U Hrvatskoj 35% osmogodišnjaka ima višak kila

U Hrvatskoj 35 posto osmogodišnjaka ima problem s prekomjernom težinom, pokazuje istraživanje Europske inicijative praćenja debljine djece CroCOSI. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da 35,0% djece dobi od 8,0 do 8,9 godina ima prekomjernu tjelesnu masu i debljinu. Na nacionalnoj razini je problem debljine veći u dječaka nego u djevojčica te iznosi 17,8% u odnosu na 11,9% u djevojčica. Istraživanje je provedeno u osam tjedana, od veljače do travnja 2019. na uzorku koji je obuhvatio više od 5000 djece.
