Umirovljeni general Luka Džanko komentirao je za N1 zahtjev za pomilovanje Perkovića i Mustača. Rekao je: “Prije nego kažem, zbog čega sam se odlučio na to, želim reći da mi je žao svake žrtve pa i Stjepana Đurekovića. Međutim, njegovo stradanje ne može se mjeriti sa stradanjem Brune Bušića, u pitanju je domoljublje, u detalje ne bih."

Nastavio je: "Pridružio sam se kolegama, Miljavcu posebno, Gotovini kao njegov zamjenik, Domazetu kao stručnjaku obavještajcu i ostalim generalima iz desnih svjetonazora. U vrijeme Bljeska i Oluje kao zapovjednik zbornog područja Bjelovar, gospodin Perković je puno pomogao da mi uspješno izvedemo i Bljesak i Oluju u zapadnoj Slavoniji. Primjera radi, meni kolega Domazet šalje obavještajne podatke koji su bili ključni u operaciji Bljesak i kaže mi: ‘Luka, ovo ti šalje Perković, računaj da je to sigurno i postupi tako’. To su bili ključni podaci da mi u Bljesku uspijemo osloboditi zapadnu Slavoniju i ući u Okučane.”

Kazao je i da je dovoljno što je “vrhovni zapovjedni Franjo Tuđman rekao da su ti ljudi ključni”. “Oni su postali brigadiri i oni su se uspjeli suprotstaviti vrlo stručnoj obavještajnoj službi jugovojske. Da njih nije bilo, oni su bili toliko snažni i jaki, mi ne bi postigli ovo što smo postigli i smatram da su oni to zaslužili. Suprotstavili su se onome što oni znaju i onome što može kontrirati njima i uspjeli u onome što smo uradili”, ispričao je.

Džanko je posebno istaknuo kako se slaže da je ubojstvo najgori zločin pa ponovio da mu je žao svake žrtve: “Međutim, oni nisu to izvršili. Pripadali su toj službi, puno je pripadalo ljudi koji su za Hrvatsku dali puno, ti se ljudi ne prozivaju, nego njih dvojica jer je Njemačka iskoristila naše slabosti i postavlja se pitanje koliko je odgovorna obavještajna služba Njemačke u svemu tome, oni su sebe oprali, a naši ljudi su odgovorni”, pita se.

Dotakao se i odnosa s predsjednikom Milanovićem: “Predsjednik Milanović je vrhunski političar, što je radio, ne znam, s njim se nisam čuo od Bljeska i žao mi je što se nismo čuli jer se moja udruga Vedra suprotstavila nekim njegovim istupima. Kako je on to shvatio prema meni kao generalu, njegovom poznaniku, to je njegovo, nije moje”.

Nije se sramio reći ni što misli o generalima koji su svoje potpise dali pa povukli: “Baš dobro pitanje, to me malo iznenadilo. Iznenadilo me, neću imenovati, ali čovjek koji je predavao na Vojnoj akademiji, koji je u onoj državi cijeli svoj radni vijek proveo i odjednom povlači potpis. Čudi me general Ademi koji je takve havarije prošao s tim zatvorima i sudovima, da se nije oglasio”, zbunjen je postupcima svojih kolega.

Poručio je da mu je drago da su Miljavac i Rojs shvatili da je “potreba i zasluga” da se Perković i Mustač pomiluju. “Tu je Domazet, koji je vrhunski obavještajac, tu je Gotovina koji je sve prošao u životu, to su ljudi koji su shvatili koliko je za nas u Bljesku i Oluju značilo da imamo konkretne pokazatelje: ‘Idite tamo gdje ćete sigurno uspjeti ili ne idite tamo jer ćete nastradati’, a to su rezultati rada ove dvojice”.

Na kraju mu je novinar postavio pitanje boji li se da će ga proglasiti izdajicom? “Ja sam davno proglašen izdajnikom, ali ja se time ponosim jer znam što sam dao za Hrvatsku, Ja sam time sve jači i jači”, zaključuje.

Umirovljeni general Luka Džanko komentirao je za N1 zahtjev za pomilovanje Perkovića i Mustača. Rekao je: “Prije nego kažem, zbog čega sam se odlučio na to, želim reći da mi je žao svake žrtve pa i Stjepana Đurekovića. Međutim, njegovo stradanje ne može se mjeriti sa stradanjem Brune Bušića, u pitanju je domoljublje, u detalje ne bih."

Nastavio je: "Pridružio sam se kolegama, Miljavcu posebno, Gotovini kao njegov zamjenik, Domazetu kao stručnjaku obavještajcu i ostalim generalima iz desnih svjetonazora. U vrijeme Bljeska i Oluje kao zapovjednik zbornog područja Bjelovar, gospodin Perković je puno pomogao da mi uspješno izvedemo i Bljesak i Oluju u zapadnoj Slavoniji. Primjera radi, meni kolega Domazet šalje obavještajne podatke koji su bili ključni u operaciji Bljesak i kaže mi: ‘Luka, ovo ti šalje Perković, računaj da je to sigurno i postupi tako’. To su bili ključni podaci da mi u Bljesku uspijemo osloboditi zapadnu Slavoniju i ući u Okučane.”

Kazao je i da je dovoljno što je “vrhovni zapovjedni Franjo Tuđman rekao da su ti ljudi ključni”. “Oni su postali brigadiri i oni su se uspjeli suprotstaviti vrlo stručnoj obavještajnoj službi jugovojske. Da njih nije bilo, oni su bili toliko snažni i jaki, mi ne bi postigli ovo što smo postigli i smatram da su oni to zaslužili. Suprotstavili su se onome što oni znaju i onome što može kontrirati njima i uspjeli u onome što smo uradili”, ispričao je.

Džanko je posebno istaknuo kako se slaže da je ubojstvo najgori zločin pa ponovio da mu je žao svake žrtve: “Međutim, oni nisu to izvršili. Pripadali su toj službi, puno je pripadalo ljudi koji su za Hrvatsku dali puno, ti se ljudi ne prozivaju, nego njih dvojica jer je Njemačka iskoristila naše slabosti i postavlja se pitanje koliko je odgovorna obavještajna služba Njemačke u svemu tome, oni su sebe oprali, a naši ljudi su odgovorni”, pita se.

Dotakao se i odnosa s predsjednikom Milanovićem: “Predsjednik Milanović je vrhunski političar, što je radio, ne znam, s njim se nisam čuo od Bljeska i žao mi je što se nismo čuli jer se moja udruga Vedra suprotstavila nekim njegovim istupima. Kako je on to shvatio prema meni kao generalu, njegovom poznaniku, to je njegovo, nije moje”.

Nije se sramio reći ni što misli o generalima koji su svoje potpise dali pa povukli: “Baš dobro pitanje, to me malo iznenadilo. Iznenadilo me, neću imenovati, ali čovjek koji je predavao na Vojnoj akademiji, koji je u onoj državi cijeli svoj radni vijek proveo i odjednom povlači potpis. Čudi me general Ademi koji je takve havarije prošao s tim zatvorima i sudovima, da se nije oglasio”, zbunjen je postupcima svojih kolega.

Poručio je da mu je drago da su Miljavac i Rojs shvatili da je “potreba i zasluga” da se Perković i Mustač pomiluju. “Tu je Domazet, koji je vrhunski obavještajac, tu je Gotovina koji je sve prošao u životu, to su ljudi koji su shvatili koliko je za nas u Bljesku i Oluju značilo da imamo konkretne pokazatelje: ‘Idite tamo gdje ćete sigurno uspjeti ili ne idite tamo jer ćete nastradati’, a to su rezultati rada ove dvojice”.

Na kraju mu je novinar postavio pitanje boji li se da će ga proglasiti izdajicom? “Ja sam davno proglašen izdajnikom, ali ja se time ponosim jer znam što sam dao za Hrvatsku, Ja sam time sve jači i jači”, zaključuje.
