Msgr. Franjo Komarica više nije na dužnosti banjolučkog biskupa, koju je obnašao od 1989. godine.

Novi banjolučki biskup je Željko Majić (Drinovci, 1963.), svećenik Mostarsko-duvanjske biskupije, objavljeno je na internet stranici Banjolučke biskupije.

Majić je imenovan odlukom pape Frane, koji je prethodno prihvatio zahtjev biskupa Komarice za razrješenje dužnosti zbog navršenih godina.

Don Željko Majić gimnaziju je pohađao u sjemeništu u Dubrovniku, studirao je filozofiju i teologiju na Vrhbosanskoj visokoj teološkoj školi u Sarajevu. Za svećenika je zaređen kod biskupa Pavla Žanića u Mostaru 1988. Na Papinskom sveučilištu Lateran u Rimu postigao je licencijat iz Pastoralne teologije

Obavljao je različite službe: upravitelj Svećeničkog doma, župni vikar, biskupov tajnik, zatim župnik župe Blagaj-Buna, potom vicerektor Papinskog hrvatskog zavoda sv. Jeronima u Rimu. Godine 2012. imenovan je generalnim vikarom. Od 2019. ravnatelj je Caritasa biskupjâ Mostar-Duvno i Trebinje-Mrkan, navodi se među ostalim na internet stranici Banjolučke biskupije.

Msgr. Franjo Komarica više nije na dužnosti banjolučkog biskupa, koju je obnašao od 1989. godine.

Novi banjolučki biskup je Željko Majić (Drinovci, 1963.), svećenik Mostarsko-duvanjske biskupije, objavljeno je na internet stranici Banjolučke biskupije.

Majić je imenovan odlukom pape Frane, koji je prethodno prihvatio zahtjev biskupa Komarice za razrješenje dužnosti zbog navršenih godina.

Don Željko Majić gimnaziju je pohađao u sjemeništu u Dubrovniku, studirao je filozofiju i teologiju na Vrhbosanskoj visokoj teološkoj školi u Sarajevu. Za svećenika je zaređen kod biskupa Pavla Žanića u Mostaru 1988. Na Papinskom sveučilištu Lateran u Rimu postigao je licencijat iz Pastoralne teologije

Obavljao je različite službe: upravitelj Svećeničkog doma, župni vikar, biskupov tajnik, zatim župnik župe Blagaj-Buna, potom vicerektor Papinskog hrvatskog zavoda sv. Jeronima u Rimu. Godine 2012. imenovan je generalnim vikarom. Od 2019. ravnatelj je Caritasa biskupjâ Mostar-Duvno i Trebinje-Mrkan, navodi se među ostalim na internet stranici Banjolučke biskupije.

Msgr. Franjo Komarica više nije na dužnosti banjolučkog biskupa, koju je obnašao od 1989. godine.

Novi banjolučki biskup je Željko Majić (Drinovci, 1963.), svećenik Mostarsko-duvanjske biskupije, objavljeno je na internet stranici Banjolučke biskupije.
