Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken rekao je u srijedu poslovnim i političkim čelnicima u Davosu da se ne sjeća razdoblja u svojoj karijeri kada je bilo više globalnih izazova, od rata u Gazi i Ukrajini do tenzija oko Tajvana.
Blinken je rekao da gotovo nijedan od problema koje želi riješiti administracija američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena ne može biti riješen izolirano, što je slično izjavi kineskog premijera Li Qianga koji je u utorak pozvao na veću globalnu suradnju, ocjenjuje Reuters.
Opisujući sukob u Gazi kao "potresan", Blinken je rekao da je za rješavanje stanje potrebna palestinska država s vladajućom strukturom "koja pruža ljudima ono što žele i surađuje s Izraelom kako bi bila učinkovita".
"Patnja mi slama srce", rekao je tijekom uvodne sjednice na Svjetskom gospodarskom forumu u švicarskom skijaškom odmaralištu Davos, dodajući: "Pitanje je što treba učiniti."
Državni tajnik SAD-a rekao je da Washington dobiva poruke od gotovo svake zemlje na Bliskom istoku da žele da Sjedinjene Američke Države budu prisutne za pregovaračkim stolom za kojim bi se govorilo o okončanju rata Izraela s militantima Hamasa u Gazi.
Rekao je da je Washington također tražen na drugim mjestima.
"Naglasak na partnerstvu s SAD-om veći je nego ikad", rekao je Blinken publici panela na WEF-u.
Rat u Gazi počeo je kada su militanti Hamasa upali u južni Izrael 7. listopada, ubivši 1200 ljudi i uzevši 240 talaca. Izrael tvrdi da ih je više od 130 još uvijek u zarobljeništvu.
Izrael je odgovorio na napad Hamasa opsadom, bombardiranjem i kopnenom invazijom Gaze koja je uništila mali obalni teritorij i ubila više od 24.000 ljudi, prema zdravstvenim dužnosnicima Gaze.
Upitan ima li ikakvih izgleda za trenutni prekid vatre u ratu između Rusije i Ukrajine, Blinken je rekao da ne misli da ih ima, iako su SAD uvijek za to otvorene.
Što se tiče napetosti oko Tajvana, gdje je vladajuća Demokratska progresivna stranka (DPP) pobijedila na predsjedničkim izborima u subotu, Blinken je istaknuo važnost Tajvanskog tjesnaca i rekao da otok ima važno  mjesto u svijetu.
Kina smatra Tajvan dijelom svog teritorija, a DPP "separatističkom" strankom.
Kineska vlada kritizirala je reakciju SAD-a nakon pobjede DPP-a, rekavši da je Washington prekršio vlastito obećanje da će održavati samo kulturne i trgovinske odnose ili druge neslužbene veze s Tajvanom.

Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken rekao je u srijedu poslovnim i političkim čelnicima u Davosu da se ne sjeća razdoblja u svojoj karijeri kada je bilo više globalnih izazova, od rata u Gazi i Ukrajini do tenzija oko Tajvana.
Blinken je rekao da gotovo nijedan od problema koje želi riješiti administracija američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena ne može biti riješen izolirano, što je slično izjavi kineskog premijera Li Qianga koji je u utorak pozvao na veću globalnu suradnju, ocjenjuje Reuters.
Opisujući sukob u Gazi kao "potresan", Blinken je rekao da je za rješavanje stanje potrebna palestinska država s vladajućom strukturom "koja pruža ljudima ono što žele i surađuje s Izraelom kako bi bila učinkovita".
"Patnja mi slama srce", rekao je tijekom uvodne sjednice na Svjetskom gospodarskom forumu u švicarskom skijaškom odmaralištu Davos, dodajući: "Pitanje je što treba učiniti."
Državni tajnik SAD-a rekao je da Washington dobiva poruke od gotovo svake zemlje na Bliskom istoku da žele da Sjedinjene Američke Države budu prisutne za pregovaračkim stolom za kojim bi se govorilo o okončanju rata Izraela s militantima Hamasa u Gazi.
Rekao je da je Washington također tražen na drugim mjestima.
"Naglasak na partnerstvu s SAD-om veći je nego ikad", rekao je Blinken publici panela na WEF-u.
Rat u Gazi počeo je kada su militanti Hamasa upali u južni Izrael 7. listopada, ubivši 1200 ljudi i uzevši 240 talaca. Izrael tvrdi da ih je više od 130 još uvijek u zarobljeništvu.
Izrael je odgovorio na napad Hamasa opsadom, bombardiranjem i kopnenom invazijom Gaze koja je uništila mali obalni teritorij i ubila više od 24.000 ljudi, prema zdravstvenim dužnosnicima Gaze.
Upitan ima li ikakvih izgleda za trenutni prekid vatre u ratu između Rusije i Ukrajine, Blinken je rekao da ne misli da ih ima, iako su SAD uvijek za to otvorene.
Što se tiče napetosti oko Tajvana, gdje je vladajuća Demokratska progresivna stranka (DPP) pobijedila na predsjedničkim izborima u subotu, Blinken je istaknuo važnost Tajvanskog tjesnaca i rekao da otok ima važno  mjesto u svijetu.

Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken rekao je u srijedu poslovnim i političkim čelnicima u Davosu da se ne sjeća razdoblja u svojoj karijeri kada je bilo više globalnih izazova, od rata u Gazi i Ukrajini do tenzija oko Tajvana.
Blinken je rekao da gotovo nijedan od problema koje želi riješiti administracija američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena ne može biti riješen izolirano, što je slično izjavi kineskog premijera Li Qianga koji je u utorak pozvao na veću globalnu suradnju, ocjenjuje Reuters.
Opisujući sukob u Gazi kao "potresan", Blinken je rekao da je za rješavanje stanje potrebna palestinska država s vladajućom strukturom "koja pruža ljudima ono što žele i surađuje s Izraelom kako bi bila učinkovita".
"Patnja mi slama srce", rekao je tijekom uvodne sjednice na Svjetskom gospodarskom forumu u švicarskom skijaškom odmaralištu Davos, dodajući: "Pitanje je što treba učiniti."
Državni tajnik SAD-a rekao je da Washington dobiva poruke od gotovo svake zemlje na Bliskom istoku da žele da Sjedinjene Američke Države budu prisutne za pregovaračkim stolom za kojim bi se govorilo o okončanju rata Izraela s militantima Hamasa u Gazi.
Rekao je da je Washington također tražen na drugim mjestima.
"Naglasak na partnerstvu s SAD-om veći je nego ikad", rekao je Blinken publici panela na WEF-u.
Rat u Gazi počeo je kada su militanti Hamasa upali u južni Izrael 7. listopada, ubivši 1200 ljudi i uzevši 240 talaca. Izrael tvrdi da ih je više od 130 još uvijek u zarobljeništvu.
Izrael je odgovorio na napad Hamasa opsadom, bombardiranjem i kopnenom invazijom Gaze koja je uništila mali obalni teritorij i ubila više od 24.000 ljudi, prema zdravstvenim dužnosnicima Gaze.
Upitan ima li ikakvih izgleda za trenutni prekid vatre u ratu između Rusije i Ukrajine, Blinken je rekao da ne misli da ih ima, iako su SAD uvijek za to otvorene.
Što se tiče napetosti oko Tajvana, gdje je vladajuća Demokratska progresivna stranka (DPP) pobijedila na predsjedničkim izborima u subotu, Blinken je istaknuo važnost Tajvanskog tjesnaca i rekao da otok ima važno  mjesto u svijetu.
