Postupanje države Izrael prema Palestincima zločin je protiv čovječnosti i protuzakonito je prema međunarodnom pravu, poručio je Amnesty International u utorak. Ova neprofitna organizacija koja nastoji zaštititi ljudska prava kaže da su izraelski "ugnjetavanje i dominacija" nad Palestincima jednaki aparthejdu.

"Izraelska vlada čini zločin protiv čovječnosti aparthejda nad Palestincima i mora biti pozvana na odgovornost", napisala je organizacija u novoobjavljenom izvješću od gotovo 280 stranica. Amnesty je iznio da je Izrael prihvatio zakone i prakse kojima je "namjera održati okrutni sustav kontrole nad Palestincima, ostavio ih je geografski i politički fragmentiranim, često osiromašenim i u stalnom stanju straha i nesigurnosti".

Amnesty je samo najnoviji u nizu kritičara židovske države zbog za upravljanje sustavom aparthejda, pridruživši se bivšem američkom predsjedniku Jimmyju Carteru, Human Rights Watchu i izraelskoj skupini za ljudska prava B'Tselem.

Izrael je rekao da odbacuje nalaze Amnestyja. Čak i prije nego što je izvješće službeno objavljeno, izraelsko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova pozvalo je grupu da ga povuče i nazvalo ga "lažnim, pristranim i antisemitskim". Ministar vanjskih poslova Yair Lapid dodao je: "Amnesty citira laži koje šire terorističke organizacije." Izraelsko veleposlanstvo u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu, gdje je sjedište Amnestyja, saopćilo je da je deklaracija grupe o aparthejdu "sramotno lažno predstavljanje raznolikog i dinamičnog izraelskog društva".

Nasuprot tome, izvješće sadrži navod da izraelsko postupanje prema Palestincima predstavlja djelomični aparthejd zato što se "svim teritorijima pod kontrolom Izraela i dalje upravlja sa svrhom koristi židovskim Izraelcima na štetu Palestinaca, dok su palestinske izbjeglice i dalje isključene". Ovo izvješće Amnestyja dolazi manje od tri godine nakon što je tadašnji premijer Benjamin Netanyahu rekao da je Izrael "nacionalna država, ne svih svojih građana, već samo židovskog naroda".

U Izraelu je rasprava o tome nameće li ta zemlja aparthejd Palestincima dobila novi ton 2020. godine, kada se, kako je izvijestio Daniel Estrin iz NPR-a, Netanyahu "zakleo da će pripojiti dio Zapadne obale Izraelu, a da tamošnjim Palestincima ne da pravo glasa u Izraelu".

Palestinski arapski građani čine oko petinu izraelskog stanovništva i imaju izraelsko biračko pravo. Ali Palestinci na Zapadnoj obali koju je okupirao Izrael i u Pojasu Gaze nemaju izraelsko pravo glasa. Čak i unutar Izraela, navodi se u izvješću, Izrael je Palestincima oduzeo njihovu zemlju i imovinu te nametnuo segregaciju i diskriminatornu politiku.

Djelovi izvješća Amnestyja sadrže odjeljke osnivačkog ugovora Međunarodnog kaznenog suda, koji je stupio na snagu 2002. Evo kako se u njemu definira aparthejd: "'Zločin apartheida' znači nehumana djela... počinjena u kontekstu institucionaliziranog režima sustavnog ugnjetavanja i dominacije jedne rasne skupine nad bilo kojom drugom rasnom grupom ili skupinama i počinjena s namjerom održavanja tog režima."

"Nehumana djela" navedena u toj klauzuli uključuju zločine za koje je Izrael više puta optužen, kao što su deportacija ili prisilno premještanje stanovništva i progon "identificirane skupine ili kolektiva" na temelju njihovov političkog, rasnog, nacionalnog , etničkog, kulturnog, vjerskog ili rodnog identiteta.

Dok mnoge od najnovijih optužbi protiv Izraela proizlaze iz njegovih aneksija zemljišta na Zapadnoj obali, izvješće Amnestyja kaže da problemi koje vidi proizlaze iz samog stvaranja Izraela. "Tijekom uspostavljanja Izraela kao židovske države 1948. godine, Izrael je protjerao stotine tisuća Palestinaca i uništio stotine palestinskih sela, što je predstavljalo etničko čišćenje", navodi se u izvješću.

Kao odgovor na Amnesty, izraelsko veleposlanstvo u SAD-u retweetalo je i naglasilo uvodnik u The Wall Street Journalu koji kritizira ove nalaze, ističući redak u kojem se navodi: "izvješće gotovo ignorira da je Izrael demokracija koja daje više prava Arapima i Palestincima nego li bilo koja druga država u regiji."

Postupanje države Izrael prema Palestincima zločin je protiv čovječnosti i protuzakonito je prema međunarodnom pravu, poručio je Amnesty International u utorak. Ova neprofitna organizacija koja nastoji zaštititi ljudska prava kaže da su izraelski "ugnjetavanje i dominacija" nad Palestincima jednaki aparthejdu.

"Izraelska vlada čini zločin protiv čovječnosti aparthejda nad Palestincima i mora biti pozvana na odgovornost", napisala je organizacija u novoobjavljenom izvješću od gotovo 280 stranica. Amnesty je iznio da je Izrael prihvatio zakone i prakse kojima je "namjera održati okrutni sustav kontrole nad Palestincima, ostavio ih je geografski i politički fragmentiranim, često osiromašenim i u stalnom stanju straha i nesigurnosti".

Amnesty je samo najnoviji u nizu kritičara židovske države zbog za upravljanje sustavom aparthejda, pridruživši se bivšem američkom predsjedniku Jimmyju Carteru, Human Rights Watchu i izraelskoj skupini za ljudska prava B'Tselem.

Izrael je rekao da odbacuje nalaze Amnestyja. Čak i prije nego što je izvješće službeno objavljeno, izraelsko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova pozvalo je grupu da ga povuče i nazvalo ga "lažnim, pristranim i antisemitskim". Ministar vanjskih poslova Yair Lapid dodao je: "Amnesty citira laži koje šire terorističke organizacije." Izraelsko veleposlanstvo u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu, gdje je sjedište Amnestyja, saopćilo je da je deklaracija grupe o aparthejdu "sramotno lažno predstavljanje raznolikog i dinamičnog izraelskog društva".

Nasuprot tome, izvješće sadrži navod da izraelsko postupanje prema Palestincima predstavlja djelomični aparthejd zato što se "svim teritorijima pod kontrolom Izraela i dalje upravlja sa svrhom koristi židovskim Izraelcima na štetu Palestinaca, dok su palestinske izbjeglice i dalje isključene". Ovo izvješće Amnestyja dolazi manje od tri godine nakon što je tadašnji premijer Benjamin Netanyahu rekao da je Izrael "nacionalna država, ne svih svojih građana, već samo židovskog naroda".

U Izraelu je rasprava o tome nameće li ta zemlja aparthejd Palestincima dobila novi ton 2020. godine, kada se, kako je izvijestio Daniel Estrin iz NPR-a, Netanyahu "zakleo da će pripojiti dio Zapadne obale Izraelu, a da tamošnjim Palestincima ne da pravo glasa u Izraelu".

Palestinski arapski građani čine oko petinu izraelskog stanovništva i imaju izraelsko biračko pravo. Ali Palestinci na Zapadnoj obali koju je okupirao Izrael i u Pojasu Gaze nemaju izraelsko pravo glasa. Čak i unutar Izraela, navodi se u izvješću, Izrael je Palestincima oduzeo njihovu zemlju i imovinu te nametnuo segregaciju i diskriminatornu politiku.

Djelovi izvješća Amnestyja sadrže odjeljke osnivačkog ugovora Međunarodnog kaznenog suda, koji je stupio na snagu 2002. Evo kako se u njemu definira aparthejd: "'Zločin apartheida' znači nehumana djela... počinjena u kontekstu institucionaliziranog režima sustavnog ugnjetavanja i dominacije jedne rasne skupine nad bilo kojom drugom rasnom grupom ili skupinama i počinjena s namjerom održavanja tog režima."

"Nehumana djela" navedena u toj klauzuli uključuju zločine za koje je Izrael više puta optužen, kao što su deportacija ili prisilno premještanje stanovništva i progon "identificirane skupine ili kolektiva" na temelju njihovov političkog, rasnog, nacionalnog , etničkog, kulturnog, vjerskog ili rodnog identiteta.

Dok mnoge od najnovijih optužbi protiv Izraela proizlaze iz njegovih aneksija zemljišta na Zapadnoj obali, izvješće Amnestyja kaže da problemi koje vidi proizlaze iz samog stvaranja Izraela. "Tijekom uspostavljanja Izraela kao židovske države 1948. godine, Izrael je protjerao stotine tisuća Palestinaca i uništio stotine palestinskih sela, što je predstavljalo etničko čišćenje", navodi se u izvješću.

Kao odgovor na Amnesty, izraelsko veleposlanstvo u SAD-u retweetalo je i naglasilo uvodnik u The Wall Street Journalu koji kritizira ove nalaze, ističući redak u kojem se navodi: "izvješće gotovo ignorira da je Izrael demokracija koja daje više prava Arapima i Palestincima nego li bilo koja druga država u regiji."
