Konzervativni austrijski kancelar Sebastian Kurz protivi se primanju još ljudi koji bježe iz Afganistana, nakon što su talibani preuzeli vlast u toj zemlji, rekao je on u nedjelju.

U vrijeme migracijske krize 2015. i 2016. Austrija je prihvatila 90.000 tražitelja azila, što je više od jedan posto njezine populacije. Kurz je svoju karijeru izgradio na tvrdom stajalištu prema imigraciji, osvojivši sve parlamentarne izbore od 2017.

Dok se Europska unija bori s tim što učiniti s Afganistancima koji su im pomagali u proteklih 20 godina, Kurz je rekao da dolazak u Austriju nije opcija.

"Jasno se protivim tome da dobrovoljno prihvatimo još ljudi i to se neće dogoditi dok sam ja kancelar", rekao je u intervjuu za televizijsku postaju Puls 24.

Austrija ima više od 40.000 afganistanskih izbjeglica, najviše u Europi nakon Njemačke koja je primila 148.000, pokazuju podaci UNHCR-a za 2020.

Austrija ima devet puta manje stanovnika od Njemačke, neutralna je zemlja i nije članica NATO-a te je u Afganistan poslala vrlo mali broj vojnika.

"Ne mislim da bismo trebali prihvatiti još ljudi. Upravo suprotno", rekao je Kurz o Afganistancima koji bježe iz svoje zemlje.

"Austrija je dala nerazmjerno velik doprinos", dodao je referirajući se na velik broj afganistanskih izbjeglica i tražitelja azila koji su već u zemlji.

Rekao je da ljudi koji su napustili Afganistan trebaju ostati u regiji i podsjetio da su susjedni Turkmensitan i Uzbekistan prihvatili samo 14, odnosno 13 izbjeglica, što se podudara s podacima UNHCR-a.

Konzervativni austrijski kancelar Sebastian Kurz protivi se primanju još ljudi koji bježe iz Afganistana, nakon što su talibani preuzeli vlast u toj zemlji, rekao je on u nedjelju.

U vrijeme migracijske krize 2015. i 2016. Austrija je prihvatila 90.000 tražitelja azila, što je više od jedan posto njezine populacije. Kurz je svoju karijeru izgradio na tvrdom stajalištu prema imigraciji, osvojivši sve parlamentarne izbore od 2017.

Dok se Europska unija bori s tim što učiniti s Afganistancima koji su im pomagali u proteklih 20 godina, Kurz je rekao da dolazak u Austriju nije opcija.

"Jasno se protivim tome da dobrovoljno prihvatimo još ljudi i to se neće dogoditi dok sam ja kancelar", rekao je u intervjuu za televizijsku postaju Puls 24.

Austrija ima više od 40.000 afganistanskih izbjeglica, najviše u Europi nakon Njemačke koja je primila 148.000, pokazuju podaci UNHCR-a za 2020.

Austrija ima devet puta manje stanovnika od Njemačke, neutralna je zemlja i nije članica NATO-a te je u Afganistan poslala vrlo mali broj vojnika.

"Ne mislim da bismo trebali prihvatiti još ljudi. Upravo suprotno", rekao je Kurz o Afganistancima koji bježe iz svoje zemlje.

"Austrija je dala nerazmjerno velik doprinos", dodao je referirajući se na velik broj afganistanskih izbjeglica i tražitelja azila koji su već u zemlji.

Rekao je da ljudi koji su napustili Afganistan trebaju ostati u regiji i podsjetio da su susjedni Turkmensitan i Uzbekistan prihvatili samo 14, odnosno 13 izbjeglica, što se podudara s podacima UNHCR-a.

Austrijski se kancelar protivi primanju još izbjeglica iz Afganistana

Konzervativni austrijski kancelar Sebastian Kurz protivi se primanju još ljudi koji bježe iz Afganistana, nakon što su talibani preuzeli vlast u toj zemlji, rekao je on u nedjelju.

U vrijeme migracijske krize 2015. i 2016. Austrija je prihvatila 90.000 tražitelja azila, što je više od jedan posto njezine populacije. Kurz je svoju karijeru izgradio na tvrdom stajalištu prema imigraciji, osvojivši sve parlamentarne izbore od 2017.

Dok se Europska unija bori s tim što učiniti s Afganistancima koji su im pomagali u proteklih 20 godina, Kurz je rekao da dolazak u Austriju nije opcija.

"Jasno se protivim tome da dobrovoljno prihvatimo još ljudi i to se neće dogoditi dok sam ja kancelar", rekao je u intervjuu za televizijsku postaju Puls 24.
