Bilanca žrtava ciklona Nargis koji je pogodio Mianmar 3. svibnja dosegnula je brojku od 77.738 mrtvih i još 55.917 osoba koje se smatraju nestalima, što je ukupno 133.655 ljudi, izvijestila je u petak državna televizija.

U četvrtak su objavljeni podaci o 43.318 mrtvih i 27.838 osoba koje se smatraju nestalima. Ovo veliko povećanje broja poginulih i nestalih u samo jedan dan vojne su vlasti, kako prenosi državna televizija, objasnile činjenicom da do četvrtka podatke nisu mogli potvrditi službeni izvori zbog loših meteoroloških uvjeta koji su pogodili južni dio zemlje.

U jednoj od najgorih katastrofa u zadnje vrijeme ozlijeđeno je 19.359 osoba. U programu državne televizije koju kontrolira vojna hunta, objavljeno je da je među poginulima 159 visokih dužnosnika te da ih se 58 smatra nestalima.

Zapadni diplomati i UN već nekoliko dana spominju brojku od oko 100.000 poginulih, a strahuje se da bi konačna bilanca mogla prerasti 200.000 žrtava, rekao je visoki britanski dužnosnik Douglas Alexander, nakon što je prikupio podatke od humanitarnih organizacija.

Brojke su objavljene u trenutku kada europski povjerenik za razvoj Louis Michel, trenutačno u posjetu Mianmaru, čini se, nije uspio uvjeriti vojni režim da otvori vrata masovnoj međunarodnoj pomoći kako bi se izbjegao još veći broj žrtava. Da bi izbjegla "drugu katastrofu", ne prirodnu, već humanitarnu, međunarodna zajednica pokušava izvršiti pritisak na mianmarske vlasti posredstvom azijskih zemalja.

Bilanca žrtava ciklona Nargis koji je pogodio Mianmar 3. svibnja dosegnula je brojku od 77.738 mrtvih i još 55.917 osoba koje se smatraju nestalima, što je ukupno 133.655 ljudi, izvijestila je u petak državna televizija.

U četvrtak su objavljeni podaci o 43.318 mrtvih i 27.838 osoba koje se smatraju nestalima. Ovo veliko povećanje broja poginulih i nestalih u samo jedan dan vojne su vlasti, kako prenosi državna televizija, objasnile činjenicom da do četvrtka podatke nisu mogli potvrditi službeni izvori zbog loših meteoroloških uvjeta koji su pogodili južni dio zemlje.

U jednoj od najgorih katastrofa u zadnje vrijeme ozlijeđeno je 19.359 osoba. U programu državne televizije koju kontrolira vojna hunta, objavljeno je da je među poginulima 159 visokih dužnosnika te da ih se 58 smatra nestalima.

Zapadni diplomati i UN već nekoliko dana spominju brojku od oko 100.000 poginulih, a strahuje se da bi konačna bilanca mogla prerasti 200.000 žrtava, rekao je visoki britanski dužnosnik Douglas Alexander, nakon što je prikupio podatke od humanitarnih organizacija.

Brojke su objavljene u trenutku kada europski povjerenik za razvoj Louis Michel, trenutačno u posjetu Mianmaru, čini se, nije uspio uvjeriti vojni režim da otvori vrata masovnoj međunarodnoj pomoći kako bi se izbjegao još veći broj žrtava. Da bi izbjegla "drugu katastrofu", ne prirodnu, već humanitarnu, međunarodna zajednica pokušava izvršiti pritisak na mianmarske vlasti posredstvom azijskih zemalja.

Bilanca žrtava ciklona Nargis koji je pogodio Mianmar 3. svibnja dosegnula je brojku od 77.738 mrtvih i još 55.917 osoba koje se smatraju nestalima, što je ukupno 133.655 ljudi, izvijestila je u petak državna televizija.
