Turski predsjednik Tayyip Erdogan održao je u subotu svoje posljednje predizborne skupove u Istanbulu na kojima je optužio oporbu da radi s američkim predsjednikom Joeom Bidenom kako bi ga svrgnula, dok je uputio posljednji apel uoči izbora, najvećeg izazova u svojoj 20-godišnjoj vladavini.

Ankete pokazuju da Erdogan zaostaje za glavnim oporbenim kandidatom Kemalom Kilicdarogluom dan uoči jednih od najvažnijih izbora u modernoj povijesti Turske. Međutim, ako nijedan od njih ne osvoji više od 50 posto glasova i osigura izravnu pobjedu, održat će se drugi krug izbora 28. svibnja.

Na skupu u istanbulskoj četvrti Umraniye, Erdogan je podsjetio na Bidenove komentare koje je objavio New York Times u siječnju 2020., kada je vodio kampanju za Bijelu kuću. Tada je Biden rekao da Washington treba ohrabriti Erdoganove protivnike da ga poraze na izborima, ističući da ne bi trebao biti svrgnut državnim udarom.

Komentare, koji su se ponovno pojavili kasnije te godine u videu koji je Bidena učinio najpopularnijom temom na Twitteru u Turskoj, Ankara je u to vrijeme osudila kao "intervencionističke".

"Biden je dao naredbu da se svrgne Erdogan, ja to znam. Svi moji ljudi to znaju", rekao je 69-godišnji Erdogan. "Ako je to slučaj, onda će glasački listići sutra dati odgovor i Bidenu", dodao je.

Glasnogovornik američkog State Departmenta rekao je da je Turska dugogodišnji saveznik SAD-a i da će Washington pozorno pratiti izbore, ali je dodao da "Sjedinjene Države ne zauzimaju strane na izborima".

"Naš jedini interes je demokratski proces, koji bi trebao biti slobodan i pošten. Vjerujemo da će turske vlasti provesti izbore u skladu sa svojom dugom, ponosnom demokratskom tradicijom i svojim zakonima", rekao je glasnogovornik.

Turski predsjednik Tayyip Erdogan održao je u subotu svoje posljednje predizborne skupove u Istanbulu na kojima je optužio oporbu da radi s američkim predsjednikom Joeom Bidenom kako bi ga svrgnula, dok je uputio posljednji apel uoči izbora, najvećeg izazova u svojoj 20-godišnjoj vladavini.

Ankete pokazuju da Erdogan zaostaje za glavnim oporbenim kandidatom Kemalom Kilicdarogluom dan uoči jednih od najvažnijih izbora u modernoj povijesti Turske. Međutim, ako nijedan od njih ne osvoji više od 50 posto glasova i osigura izravnu pobjedu, održat će se drugi krug izbora 28. svibnja.

Na skupu u istanbulskoj četvrti Umraniye, Erdogan je podsjetio na Bidenove komentare koje je objavio New York Times u siječnju 2020., kada je vodio kampanju za Bijelu kuću. Tada je Biden rekao da Washington treba ohrabriti Erdoganove protivnike da ga poraze na izborima, ističući da ne bi trebao biti svrgnut državnim udarom.

Komentare, koji su se ponovno pojavili kasnije te godine u videu koji je Bidena učinio najpopularnijom temom na Twitteru u Turskoj, Ankara je u to vrijeme osudila kao "intervencionističke".

"Biden je dao naredbu da se svrgne Erdogan, ja to znam. Svi moji ljudi to znaju", rekao je 69-godišnji Erdogan. "Ako je to slučaj, onda će glasački listići sutra dati odgovor i Bidenu", dodao je.

Glasnogovornik američkog State Departmenta rekao je da je Turska dugogodišnji saveznik SAD-a i da će Washington pozorno pratiti izbore, ali je dodao da "Sjedinjene Države ne zauzimaju strane na izborima".

"Naš jedini interes je demokratski proces, koji bi trebao biti slobodan i pošten. Vjerujemo da će turske vlasti provesti izbore u skladu sa svojom dugom, ponosnom demokratskom tradicijom i svojim zakonima", rekao je glasnogovornik.

Turski predsjednik Tayyip Erdogan održao je u subotu svoje posljednje predizborne skupove u Istanbulu na kojima je optužio oporbu da radi s američkim predsjednikom Joeom Bidenom kako bi ga svrgnula, dok je uputio posljednji apel uoči izbora, najvećeg izazova u svojoj 20-godišnjoj vladavini.

Ankete pokazuju da Erdogan zaostaje za glavnim oporbenim kandidatom Kemalom Kilicdarogluom dan uoči jednih od najvažnijih izbora u modernoj povijesti Turske. Međutim, ako nijedan od njih ne osvoji više od 50 posto glasova i osigura izravnu pobjedu, održat će se drugi krug izbora 28. svibnja.

Na skupu u istanbulskoj četvrti Umraniye, Erdogan je podsjetio na Bidenove komentare koje je objavio New York Times u siječnju 2020., kada je vodio kampanju za Bijelu kuću. Tada je Biden rekao da Washington treba ohrabriti Erdoganove protivnike da ga poraze na izborima, ističući da ne bi trebao biti svrgnut državnim udarom.

Komentare, koji su se ponovno pojavili kasnije te godine u videu koji je Bidena učinio najpopularnijom temom na Twitteru u Turskoj, Ankara je u to vrijeme osudila kao "intervencionističke".

"Biden je dao naredbu da se svrgne Erdogan, ja to znam. Svi moji ljudi to znaju", rekao je 69-godišnji Erdogan. "Ako je to slučaj, onda će glasački listići sutra dati odgovor i Bidenu", dodao je.

Glasnogovornik američkog State Departmenta rekao je da je Turska dugogodišnji saveznik SAD-a i da će Washington pozorno pratiti izbore, ali je dodao da "Sjedinjene Države ne zauzimaju strane na izborima".

"Naš jedini interes je demokratski proces, koji bi trebao biti slobodan i pošten. Vjerujemo da će turske vlasti provesti izbore u skladu sa svojom dugom, ponosnom demokratskom tradicijom i svojim zakonima", rekao je glasnogovornik.
