Oko 45.000 ljudi prisustvovalo je u srijedu komemoraciji 63. obljetnice američkog atomskog napada na grad Hirošimu, čiji je gradonačelnik pozvao idućeg američkog predsjednika da podrži predloženu zabranu nuklearnog oružja.

Gradonačelnik Tadatoshi Akiba obećao je na ceremoniji "učiniti sve što je u našoj moći kako bismo ishodili potpunu zabranu nuklearnog oružja".

Također je najavio pokretanje dvogodišnje studije o psihološkim učincima napada koji se dogodio 6. kolovoza 1945. i u kojem je poginulo 140.000 ljudi.

Japan je prošle godine podnio rezoluciju u Ujedinjenim narodima kojom poziva na ukidanje nuklearnog oružja. Tu je rezoluciju podržala većina zemalja, njih 170, rekao je Akiba, no SAD su bile jedna od triju država koje su joj se usprotivile.

"Možemo se samo nadati da će američki predsjednik, koji će biti izabran u studenome, poslušati većinu", rekao je Akiba pred 45.000 ljudi okupljenih nedaleko od mjesta gdje je pala atomska bomba.

U vrijeme eksplozije, u 8,15 sati po mjesnom vremenu, održana je minuta šutnje.

Akiba je ponovio da će njegova zemlja čvrsto podržavati tri antinuklearna načela, a to su ne proizvoditi, ne posjedovati i ne dopuštati nuklearno oružje na svome tlu.

U atomskom napadu poginulo je 140.000 ljudi - na licu mjesta ili u roku od nekoliko mjeseci. Prema službenim podacima, gotovo 260.000 ljudi je izgubilo život, uključujući one koji su od posljedica napada preminuli nekoliko desetljeća kasnije.

SAD su drugu atomsku bombu bacile 9. kolovoza na grad Nagasaki na jugu zemlje. Šest dana poslije Japan je kapitulirao.

Oko 45.000 ljudi prisustvovalo je u srijedu komemoraciji 63. obljetnice američkog atomskog napada na grad Hirošimu, čiji je gradonačelnik pozvao idućeg američkog predsjednika da podrži predloženu zabranu nuklearnog oružja.

Gradonačelnik Tadatoshi Akiba obećao je na ceremoniji "učiniti sve što je u našoj moći kako bismo ishodili potpunu zabranu nuklearnog oružja".

Također je najavio pokretanje dvogodišnje studije o psihološkim učincima napada koji se dogodio 6. kolovoza 1945. i u kojem je poginulo 140.000 ljudi.

Japan je prošle godine podnio rezoluciju u Ujedinjenim narodima kojom poziva na ukidanje nuklearnog oružja. Tu je rezoluciju podržala većina zemalja, njih 170, rekao je Akiba, no SAD su bile jedna od triju država koje su joj se usprotivile.

"Možemo se samo nadati da će američki predsjednik, koji će biti izabran u studenome, poslušati većinu", rekao je Akiba pred 45.000 ljudi okupljenih nedaleko od mjesta gdje je pala atomska bomba.

U vrijeme eksplozije, u 8,15 sati po mjesnom vremenu, održana je minuta šutnje.

Akiba je ponovio da će njegova zemlja čvrsto podržavati tri antinuklearna načela, a to su ne proizvoditi, ne posjedovati i ne dopuštati nuklearno oružje na svome tlu.

U atomskom napadu poginulo je 140.000 ljudi - na licu mjesta ili u roku od nekoliko mjeseci. Prema službenim podacima, gotovo 260.000 ljudi je izgubilo život, uključujući one koji su od posljedica napada preminuli nekoliko desetljeća kasnije.

SAD su drugu atomsku bombu bacile 9. kolovoza na grad Nagasaki na jugu zemlje. Šest dana poslije Japan je kapitulirao.
