Kada su ovog i prošlog tjedna dolazili u Moskvu na razgovore s ruskim predsjednikom Vladimirom Putinom, njemački kancelar Olaf Scholz i francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron nisu dopustili Rusima da ih testiraju na koronavirus. Kako ni jedan ni drugi nisu protivnici epidemioloških mjera, nagađa se da su testiranje odbili kako njihov genetski materijal ne bi pao u ruske ruke, piše Jutarnji.

Iako globalne velesile stalno traže načine da se međusobno nadmudre i nadmaše, The Associated Press (AP) piše da znanstvenici smatraju da se genetski još ne može pretvoriti u oružje. No, to ne znači da se iz nečijeg genetskog materijala ne mogu doznati brojne informacije.

Ni Scholz ni Macron, koji su se s Putinom sastali kako bi pokušali spriječiti prodor Rusa u Ukrajinu, nisu optužili Rusiju za pokušaj eksploatacije njihovog DNK, no to ne znači da se o tome nije nagađalo. Ipak se radi o NATO zemljama s jedne i njihovog oponenta s druge strane.

Jedan je francuski dužnosnik rekao da uvjeti za Macronovo približavanje Putinu bili "neprihvatljivi", što je dovelo do toga da se razgovor dvaju predsjednika vodio za šest metara dugačkim stolom koji je postao predmet šala na internetu.

Mogu donijeti svoje testove

Glasnogovornik njemačke vlade Steffen Hebestreit nije htio komentirati nagađanja o krađi DNK, ali je rekao da je Njemačka napravila isto što traži i od stranih dužnosnika koji dolaze k njoj - lideri mogu donijeti svoje testove, a ako postoji ikakva sumnja u njihovu pravovaljanost, mogu se napraviti novi, ali se moraju provesti pod nadzorom.

"Rusi su situaciju vidjeli drukčije te rekli: ako će se netko testirati na koronu, morat će to učiniti ruskim testom. Kancelar je odlučio da to neće napraviti. Ne bih tome pridavao veliku važnost", rekao je Hebestreit.

Usporedbe radi, kada strani lideri dolaze u posjet predsjedniku Sjedinjenih Američkih Država Joeu Bidenu, moraju posjedovati valjani PCR. Bijela kuća stranim dužnosnicima stoji na raspolaganju kao punkt za testiranje, no većina delegacija testiranje obavi prije dolaska, i Amerikanci te testove uvaže. Bidena testira isključivo liječnički tim Bijele kuće.

DNK se nalazi u svakoj stanici našeg tijela, a može ga se ekstrahirati brojnim metodama, pa ih brisom nosa. "Uzorci koji se uzimaju (kako bi se utvrdila zaraza koronavirusom) sadrže tone DNK", rekao je voditelj Centra za genomiku Sveučilišta u Minnesoti Kenny Beckman. "Definitivno možete uzeti taj uzorak i iz njega ekstrahirati DNK te potom ga analizirati."

Svačiji je DNK unikatan i sadrži genetske upute za specifični biološki razvoj staničnih oblika života i većine virusa. DNK sadržava informacije o podrijetlu te imate li možda rođake za koje ne znate, a iz njega se može doznati bolujete li od određenih genetskih bolesti ili imate li određene anomalije koje se vežu uz određene bolesti. Forenzičari već dugi niz godina DNK koriste kako bi dokazivali je li počinio neki zločin ili je nevin.

Saznanja o bolestima

Stručnjak za genetiku Howard McLeod rekao je za AP da se u DNK svjetskih lidera može zaviriti kako bi se utvrdilo sadržavaju li njihova obiteljska stabla informacije koje se mogu iskoristiti te kako bi se doznali prijeti li im neka bolesti. "Ideja da ćete nekoga 'upoznati' preko DNK djeluje znatno strašnije nego što je to stvarno slučaj", rekao je McLeod.

Beckman kaže da nije izgledno da bi prikupljene informacije mogle nekome politički naštetiti. "Što ćete napraviti, reći da bi Macron mogao imati problema s visokim tlakom? S druge strane, nije da sate trošim na osmišljavanje načina za pretvaranje genetskih informacija u oružje", dodao je.

AP ipak navodi da se genetskim informacijama potencijalno može ucjenjivati te da su Rusi znali prikupljati razne kompromitirajuće informacije o stranim dužnosnicima te ih potom njima ucjenjivati. Wikileaks je otkrio da je američkim diplomatima koji su za vrijeme predsjedničkog mandata Baracka Obame bili stacionirani u određenim afričkim državama govorilo da o "ključnim" dužnosnicima prikupe što je više moguće informacija, pa i DNK.

Ako je testiranje tako škakljivo pitanje, zašto onda Macron, Scholz i Putin nisu na lica stavili maske kako bi mogli sjediti bliže jedni drugima? Putin je tijekom pandemije uglavnom izbjegavao maske, ali je zato poštivao sve druge epidemiološke mjere. U javnosti je počeo izlaziti tek nakon što je potpuno imuniziran, a većinu je posla odrađivao "od kuće".

Konsenzus je stoga da zlonamjerni akter nečiji DNK može iskoristiti kako bi izazvao skandal, i ne mnogo više.

Kada su ovog i prošlog tjedna dolazili u Moskvu na razgovore s ruskim predsjednikom Vladimirom Putinom, njemački kancelar Olaf Scholz i francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron nisu dopustili Rusima da ih testiraju na koronavirus. Kako ni jedan ni drugi nisu protivnici epidemioloških mjera, nagađa se da su testiranje odbili kako njihov genetski materijal ne bi pao u ruske ruke, piše Jutarnji.

Iako globalne velesile stalno traže načine da se međusobno nadmudre i nadmaše, The Associated Press (AP) piše da znanstvenici smatraju da se genetski još ne može pretvoriti u oružje. No, to ne znači da se iz nečijeg genetskog materijala ne mogu doznati brojne informacije.

Ni Scholz ni Macron, koji su se s Putinom sastali kako bi pokušali spriječiti prodor Rusa u Ukrajinu, nisu optužili Rusiju za pokušaj eksploatacije njihovog DNK, no to ne znači da se o tome nije nagađalo. Ipak se radi o NATO zemljama s jedne i njihovog oponenta s druge strane.

Jedan je francuski dužnosnik rekao da uvjeti za Macronovo približavanje Putinu bili "neprihvatljivi", što je dovelo do toga da se razgovor dvaju predsjednika vodio za šest metara dugačkim stolom koji je postao predmet šala na internetu.

Mogu donijeti svoje testove

Glasnogovornik njemačke vlade Steffen Hebestreit nije htio komentirati nagađanja o krađi DNK, ali je rekao da je Njemačka napravila isto što traži i od stranih dužnosnika koji dolaze k njoj - lideri mogu donijeti svoje testove, a ako postoji ikakva sumnja u njihovu pravovaljanost, mogu se napraviti novi, ali se moraju provesti pod nadzorom.

"Rusi su situaciju vidjeli drukčije te rekli: ako će se netko testirati na koronu, morat će to učiniti ruskim testom. Kancelar je odlučio da to neće napraviti. Ne bih tome pridavao veliku važnost", rekao je Hebestreit.

Usporedbe radi, kada strani lideri dolaze u posjet predsjedniku Sjedinjenih Američkih Država Joeu Bidenu, moraju posjedovati valjani PCR. Bijela kuća stranim dužnosnicima stoji na raspolaganju kao punkt za testiranje, no većina delegacija testiranje obavi prije dolaska, i Amerikanci te testove uvaže. Bidena testira isključivo liječnički tim Bijele kuće.

DNK se nalazi u svakoj stanici našeg tijela, a može ga se ekstrahirati brojnim metodama, pa ih brisom nosa. "Uzorci koji se uzimaju (kako bi se utvrdila zaraza koronavirusom) sadrže tone DNK", rekao je voditelj Centra za genomiku Sveučilišta u Minnesoti Kenny Beckman. "Definitivno možete uzeti taj uzorak i iz njega ekstrahirati DNK te potom ga analizirati."

Svačiji je DNK unikatan i sadrži genetske upute za specifični biološki razvoj staničnih oblika života i većine virusa. DNK sadržava informacije o podrijetlu te imate li možda rođake za koje ne znate, a iz njega se može doznati bolujete li od određenih genetskih bolesti ili imate li određene anomalije koje se vežu uz određene bolesti. Forenzičari već dugi niz godina DNK koriste kako bi dokazivali je li počinio neki zločin ili je nevin.

Saznanja o bolestima

Stručnjak za genetiku Howard McLeod rekao je za AP da se u DNK svjetskih lidera može zaviriti kako bi se utvrdilo sadržavaju li njihova obiteljska stabla informacije koje se mogu iskoristiti te kako bi se doznali prijeti li im neka bolesti. "Ideja da ćete nekoga 'upoznati' preko DNK djeluje znatno strašnije nego što je to stvarno slučaj", rekao je McLeod.

Beckman kaže da nije izgledno da bi prikupljene informacije mogle nekome politički naštetiti. "Što ćete napraviti, reći da bi Macron mogao imati problema s visokim tlakom? S druge strane, nije da sate trošim na osmišljavanje načina za pretvaranje genetskih informacija u oružje", dodao je.

AP ipak navodi da se genetskim informacijama potencijalno može ucjenjivati te da su Rusi znali prikupljati razne kompromitirajuće informacije o stranim dužnosnicima te ih potom njima ucjenjivati. Wikileaks je otkrio da je američkim diplomatima koji su za vrijeme predsjedničkog mandata Baracka Obame bili stacionirani u određenim afričkim državama govorilo da o "ključnim" dužnosnicima prikupe što je više moguće informacija, pa i DNK.

Ako je testiranje tako škakljivo pitanje, zašto onda Macron, Scholz i Putin nisu na lica stavili maske kako bi mogli sjediti bliže jedni drugima? Putin je tijekom pandemije uglavnom izbjegavao maske, ali je zato poštivao sve druge epidemiološke mjere. U javnosti je počeo izlaziti tek nakon što je potpuno imuniziran, a većinu je posla odrađivao "od kuće".

Konsenzus je stoga da zlonamjerni akter nečiji DNK može iskoristiti kako bi izazvao skandal, i ne mnogo više.
