Odbijanje pregovora sa Hitlerom 1943. godine bila je moralna obaveza svake progresivne osobe. Kompromis s nacistima da bi se okončao rat bio bi neoprostiv. Civilizirani ljudi imali su na raspolaganju samo jednu mogućnost: nastaviti borbu dok savezničke trupe ne uđu u Hitlerov bunker. S druge strane, insistiranje na konačnoj vojnoj pobjedi nad Rusijom kao jedinom prihvatljivom rješenju i odbijanje poziva na mirovne pregovore danas su ozbiljna greška – tvrdi Yanis Varoufakis, jedan od vodećih europskih ljevičara, u svom najnovijem osvrtu za Project Syndicate kojeg prenosi Peščanik.

Grčki političar ovako objašnjava svoju početnu tezu:

"Zemlje koje su se 1943. borile za konačnu pobjedu nad nacistima izravno su sudjelovale u tadašnjem ratu i njihovi vojnici, u mnogim slučajevima i civili, bili su na prvim linijama. Zapad se danas ponaša onako kako su se Sjedinjene Države ponašale u Drugom svjetskom ratu prije napada na Pearl Harbor: drži se po strani i nastavlja naoružavati i poticati one koji izravno sudjeluju u sukobima. U takvoj situaciji, očekivati od Ukrajinaca konačnu pobjedu u ratu sa Rusijom, dok NATO čak i ne razmišlja o mogućnosti angažiranja kopnenih ili zračnih snaga, bilo bi licemjerno i neodgovorno".

Varoufakis se zato pita – kako bi konačna pobjeda Ukrajine onda trebala izgledati?

"Naravno, Ukrajinci sanjanju o potiskivanju ruskih trupa tamo gdje su bile prije 24. veljače – što je malo vjerovatno, uprkos isporukama suvremenog američkog naoružanja. Vjerojatnije je da će Putin, kada učvrsti pozicije na ukrajinskoj crnomorskoj obali i u istočnom dijelu Donbasa, predložiti primirje. U takvom scenariju, najverovatniji ishod su dugotrajni i iscrpljujući sukobi niskog intenziteta – situacija koja će biti mješavina onoga što se događa u Siriji i na Cipru...

Konačna ukrajinska pobeda moguća je jedino uz smjenu režima u Moskvi. Kakvi su izgledi da Ukrajina i NATO ostvare takvu pobjedu? I koliko je razumno kockati se budućnošću Ukrajine na takav način, ako se ima u vidu žalosna povijest dosadašnjih pokušaja smjene režima u Rusiji?"

Varoufakis ističe i da se rubalj oporavio i da, prema podacima Robina Brooksa iz Instituta za međunarodne financije, Rusija ostvaruje ogroman suficit tekuće platne bilanse (suficit koji je u travnju iznosio 95,8 milijardi dolara trebao bi do kraja godine dosegnuti 200-250 milijardi!). A to će, unatoč činjenici da će mnogi "prosječni Rusi" itekako osjetiti na svom standardu cijenu ratovanja, teško uzdrmati Putinov režim, sažetak je misli poznatog ljevičara, prenosi Peščanik.

"U takvom kontekstu, pozivi na konačnu pobjedu Ukrajine guraju nas ka konačnom porazu za sve zainteresirane strane – osim možda za trgovce oružjem i naftnu industriju koju je ovaj rat vratio u život (...) Mirovni pregovori su jedina stvar koja vodi pobjedi – i povoljnijim ishodima za Ukrajinu, Europu i čovječanstvo – i spasu od mnogih poraza koji nas čekaju u suprotnom slučaju".

Uostalom, podsjeća Varoufakis, i ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski je nedavno ustvrdio kako "ovaj rat ne može završiti bez pregovora".

Varoufakis nudi svoj "recept" uspješnih pregovora: "Obje strane moraju dobiti više nego što su izgubile i tako sačuvati obraz. Poštujući želje i srčani otpor Ukrajinaca Putinovoj agresiji, mirovni sporazum bi morao uključivati povlačenje ruskih jedinica tamo gde su bile prije 24. veljače. Za rješavanje problema sukoba u Donbasu, Sporazum iz Belfasta (kojim su riješeni „problemi“ u Sjevernoj Irskoj) može poslužiti kao koristan model. Također, da bi se otklonili strahovi od novih vojnih intervencija, treba uspostaviti demilitariziranu zonu duž rusko-ukrajinske granice.

Bi li Putin pristao na takvu ponudu? Možda, ako bi sporazumom dobio tri stvari. Putin će vjerojatno tražiti ukidanje sankcija. Također će tražiti da se problem aneksije Krima 2014. gurne pod tepih, a njegovo rješavanje ostavi za budućnost. Zahtijevat će i sigurnosne garancije kakve mu mogu pružiti jedino Sjedinjene Države, i najzad mjesto za stolom za kojim će se razgovarati o novim sigurnosnim aranžmanima za Europu.

Ukrajini su potrebna slična jamstva Sjedinjenih Država i Rusije, pa bi prijatelji Ukrajine trebali početi razmišljati o takvom aranžmanu pod pokroviteljstvom Ujedinjenih nacija, a uz učešće Sjedinjenih Država i Europske unije".

Varoufakis zaključno poručuje:

"Nitko ne može jamčiti da bi se tako ugovoreni mir održao. Ali sigurno je da nam povijest neće oprostiti ako, zaneseni iluzijama o konačnoj pobjedi, to čak i ne pokušamo", prenosi  Peščanik.

Odbijanje pregovora sa Hitlerom 1943. godine bila je moralna obaveza svake progresivne osobe. Kompromis s nacistima da bi se okončao rat bio bi neoprostiv. Civilizirani ljudi imali su na raspolaganju samo jednu mogućnost: nastaviti borbu dok savezničke trupe ne uđu u Hitlerov bunker. S druge strane, insistiranje na konačnoj vojnoj pobjedi nad Rusijom kao jedinom prihvatljivom rješenju i odbijanje poziva na mirovne pregovore danas su ozbiljna greška – tvrdi Yanis Varoufakis, jedan od vodećih europskih ljevičara, u svom najnovijem osvrtu za Project Syndicate kojeg prenosi Peščanik.

Grčki političar ovako objašnjava svoju početnu tezu:

"Zemlje koje su se 1943. borile za konačnu pobjedu nad nacistima izravno su sudjelovale u tadašnjem ratu i njihovi vojnici, u mnogim slučajevima i civili, bili su na prvim linijama. Zapad se danas ponaša onako kako su se Sjedinjene Države ponašale u Drugom svjetskom ratu prije napada na Pearl Harbor: drži se po strani i nastavlja naoružavati i poticati one koji izravno sudjeluju u sukobima. U takvoj situaciji, očekivati od Ukrajinaca konačnu pobjedu u ratu sa Rusijom, dok NATO čak i ne razmišlja o mogućnosti angažiranja kopnenih ili zračnih snaga, bilo bi licemjerno i neodgovorno".

Varoufakis se zato pita – kako bi konačna pobjeda Ukrajine onda trebala izgledati?

"Naravno, Ukrajinci sanjanju o potiskivanju ruskih trupa tamo gdje su bile prije 24. veljače – što je malo vjerovatno, uprkos isporukama suvremenog američkog naoružanja. Vjerojatnije je da će Putin, kada učvrsti pozicije na ukrajinskoj crnomorskoj obali i u istočnom dijelu Donbasa, predložiti primirje. U takvom scenariju, najverovatniji ishod su dugotrajni i iscrpljujući sukobi niskog intenziteta – situacija koja će biti mješavina onoga što se događa u Siriji i na Cipru...

Konačna ukrajinska pobeda moguća je jedino uz smjenu režima u Moskvi. Kakvi su izgledi da Ukrajina i NATO ostvare takvu pobjedu? I koliko je razumno kockati se budućnošću Ukrajine na takav način, ako se ima u vidu žalosna povijest dosadašnjih pokušaja smjene režima u Rusiji?"

Varoufakis ističe i da se rubalj oporavio i da, prema podacima Robina Brooksa iz Instituta za međunarodne financije, Rusija ostvaruje ogroman suficit tekuće platne bilanse (suficit koji je u travnju iznosio 95,8 milijardi dolara trebao bi do kraja godine dosegnuti 200-250 milijardi!). A to će, unatoč činjenici da će mnogi "prosječni Rusi" itekako osjetiti na svom standardu cijenu ratovanja, teško uzdrmati Putinov režim, sažetak je misli poznatog ljevičara, prenosi Peščanik.

"U takvom kontekstu, pozivi na konačnu pobjedu Ukrajine guraju nas ka konačnom porazu za sve zainteresirane strane – osim možda za trgovce oružjem i naftnu industriju koju je ovaj rat vratio u život (...) Mirovni pregovori su jedina stvar koja vodi pobjedi – i povoljnijim ishodima za Ukrajinu, Europu i čovječanstvo – i spasu od mnogih poraza koji nas čekaju u suprotnom slučaju".

Uostalom, podsjeća Varoufakis, i ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski je nedavno ustvrdio kako "ovaj rat ne može završiti bez pregovora".

Varoufakis nudi svoj "recept" uspješnih pregovora: "Obje strane moraju dobiti više nego što su izgubile i tako sačuvati obraz. Poštujući želje i srčani otpor Ukrajinaca Putinovoj agresiji, mirovni sporazum bi morao uključivati povlačenje ruskih jedinica tamo gde su bile prije 24. veljače. Za rješavanje problema sukoba u Donbasu, Sporazum iz Belfasta (kojim su riješeni „problemi“ u Sjevernoj Irskoj) može poslužiti kao koristan model. Također, da bi se otklonili strahovi od novih vojnih intervencija, treba uspostaviti demilitariziranu zonu duž rusko-ukrajinske granice.

Bi li Putin pristao na takvu ponudu? Možda, ako bi sporazumom dobio tri stvari. Putin će vjerojatno tražiti ukidanje sankcija. Također će tražiti da se problem aneksije Krima 2014. gurne pod tepih, a njegovo rješavanje ostavi za budućnost. Zahtijevat će i sigurnosne garancije kakve mu mogu pružiti jedino Sjedinjene Države, i najzad mjesto za stolom za kojim će se razgovarati o novim sigurnosnim aranžmanima za Europu.

Ukrajini su potrebna slična jamstva Sjedinjenih Država i Rusije, pa bi prijatelji Ukrajine trebali početi razmišljati o takvom aranžmanu pod pokroviteljstvom Ujedinjenih nacija, a uz učešće Sjedinjenih Država i Europske unije".

Varoufakis zaključno poručuje:

"Nitko ne može jamčiti da bi se tako ugovoreni mir održao. Ali sigurno je da nam povijest neće oprostiti ako, zaneseni iluzijama o konačnoj pobjedi, to čak i ne pokušamo", prenosi  Peščanik.
