Bijela kuća je u utorak izrazila bijes zbog rekordne neto dobiti Exxon Mobil Corpa u 2022. od 56 milijardi dolara, što je povijesni maksimum ne samo za tvrtku nego i za cijelu zapadnu naftnu industriju.

Očekuje se da će velike naftne kompanije oboriti vlastite godišnje rekorde zbog visokih cijena i sve veće potražnje, čime će njihova zajednička dobit porasti na gotovo 200 milijardi dolara. Ova ljestvica donijela je nove kritike naftne industrije i potaknula pozive da više zemalja naplati porez na neočekivanu dobit kompanijama.

U priopćenju Bijele kuće navodi se da je Exxonova profitna marža bila posebno dobra jer su Amerikanci plaćali rekordno visoke cijene na crpkama, ali se i kritiziraju pokušaji republikanaca da proguraju politike usmjerene na potporu naftnoj industriji.

"Najnoviji izvještaji o zaradi jasno pokazuju da naftne kompanije imaju sve što im je potrebno, uključujući rekordnu dobit i tisuće neiskorištenih, ali odobrenih dozvola, za povećanje proizvodnje, ali umjesto toga odlučuju uložiti tu dobit u punjenje džepova rukovoditelja i dioničara dok republikanci izmišljaju izgovor za izgovorom kako bi ih zaštitili od bilo kakve odgovornosti", poručili su iz Bijele kuće.

Predsjednik Joe Biden kritizirao je naftne kompanije i rafinerije veći dio prošle godine jer su uživale u rastućoj dobiti i to dok su cijene goriva ludovale. U lipnju je Biden pisao direktorima velikih rafinerija nafte i požalio se da su smanjili proizvodnju kako bi povećali profit, navodi Reuters.

Exxonova financijska direktorica Kathryn Mikells odgovorila je na rastuće kritike zbog neočekivane dobiti industrije i sugerirala da odgovor nije povećanje poreza.

"Gledamo EU porez na energetski sektor, i znate, to je samo nezakonita i loša politika koja pokušava nešto oporezovati, a ono što zapravo trebate je da se to poveća", rekao je Mikells. "Ima suprotan učinak od onoga što se pokušava postići."

Nizozemski Shell je također ostvario rekordnu dobit od 40 milijardi dolara u 2022., u kojoj mu je skok cijena energije nakon ruske invazije na Ukrajinu omogućio da dioničarima donese neviđene povrate. Ovo je više nego dvostruka zarada u odnosu na prošlu godinu.

"Namjeravamo ostati disciplinirani dok isporučujemo uvjerljive povrate dioničarima", rekao je izvršni direktor Wael Sawan.

Shell je također objavio rekordnu dobit u četvrtom tromjesečju od 9,8 milijardi dolara zahvaljujući snažnom oporavku zarade od trgovanja ukapljenim prirodnim plinom (LNG), nadmašivši predviđanja analitičara o dobiti od osam milijardi dolara.

Godišnja dobit od 39,9 milijardi dolara daleko je premašila prethodni rekord od 31 milijarde dolara iz 2008. godine. Potaknuta je višim cijenama nafte i plina, snažnim maržama rafiniranja i značajnim trgovanjem.

Zarada od LNG odjela dosegnula je šest milijardi dolara, što je rekordna vrijednost, potaknuta velikom ukupnom zaradom od trgovanja izazvanom volatilnošću cijena plina.

Vlade koje se bore s ogromnim računima za energiju odgovorile su nametanjem neočekivanih poreza na energetski sektor, ali britanski oporbeni laburisti rekli su da premijer Rishi Sunak ne čini dovoljno.

"Vlada dopušta tvrtkama koje se bave fosilnim gorivima da ostvaruju ogroman profit svojim odbijanjem da uvedu pravilan porez na iznenadnu dobit", rekao je u izjavi glasnogovornik laburista za klimatsku politiku Ed Miliband.

Shell je rekao da očekuje oko 2,4 milijarde dolara računovodstvenih troškova povezanih s nepredviđenim porezima u 2022. te da će platiti 500 milijuna dolara poreza u gotovini u Britaniji ove godine.

Tvrtka je također najavila novi program otkupa dionica vrijedan četiri milijarde dolara u sljedeća tri mjeseca, nepromijenjen u odnosu na prethodna tri. Naftni div je otkupio 19 milijardi dolara u dionicama u godini do veljače 2023., što je gotovo dvostruko više od ukupnog iznosa u 2019. prije pandemije.

Dobit je pomogla Shellu i mnogim drugim zapadnim energetskim tvrtkama prikriti ogromne otpise imovine u Rusiji iz koje su naglo izašli nakon izbijanja sukoba.

Međutim, Shell je u četvrtak rekao da je nastavio izvoziti nešto LNG-a iz Rusije.

Bijela kuća je u utorak izrazila bijes zbog rekordne neto dobiti Exxon Mobil Corpa u 2022. od 56 milijardi dolara, što je povijesni maksimum ne samo za tvrtku nego i za cijelu zapadnu naftnu industriju.

Očekuje se da će velike naftne kompanije oboriti vlastite godišnje rekorde zbog visokih cijena i sve veće potražnje, čime će njihova zajednička dobit porasti na gotovo 200 milijardi dolara. Ova ljestvica donijela je nove kritike naftne industrije i potaknula pozive da više zemalja naplati porez na neočekivanu dobit kompanijama.

U priopćenju Bijele kuće navodi se da je Exxonova profitna marža bila posebno dobra jer su Amerikanci plaćali rekordno visoke cijene na crpkama, ali se i kritiziraju pokušaji republikanaca da proguraju politike usmjerene na potporu naftnoj industriji.

"Najnoviji izvještaji o zaradi jasno pokazuju da naftne kompanije imaju sve što im je potrebno, uključujući rekordnu dobit i tisuće neiskorištenih, ali odobrenih dozvola, za povećanje proizvodnje, ali umjesto toga odlučuju uložiti tu dobit u punjenje džepova rukovoditelja i dioničara dok republikanci izmišljaju izgovor za izgovorom kako bi ih zaštitili od bilo kakve odgovornosti", poručili su iz Bijele kuće.

Predsjednik Joe Biden kritizirao je naftne kompanije i rafinerije veći dio prošle godine jer su uživale u rastućoj dobiti i to dok su cijene goriva ludovale. U lipnju je Biden pisao direktorima velikih rafinerija nafte i požalio se da su smanjili proizvodnju kako bi povećali profit, navodi Reuters.

Exxonova financijska direktorica Kathryn Mikells odgovorila je na rastuće kritike zbog neočekivane dobiti industrije i sugerirala da odgovor nije povećanje poreza.

"Gledamo EU porez na energetski sektor, i znate, to je samo nezakonita i loša politika koja pokušava nešto oporezovati, a ono što zapravo trebate je da se to poveća", rekao je Mikells. "Ima suprotan učinak od onoga što se pokušava postići."

Nizozemski Shell je također ostvario rekordnu dobit od 40 milijardi dolara u 2022., u kojoj mu je skok cijena energije nakon ruske invazije na Ukrajinu omogućio da dioničarima donese neviđene povrate. Ovo je više nego dvostruka zarada u odnosu na prošlu godinu.

"Namjeravamo ostati disciplinirani dok isporučujemo uvjerljive povrate dioničarima", rekao je izvršni direktor Wael Sawan.

Shell je također objavio rekordnu dobit u četvrtom tromjesečju od 9,8 milijardi dolara zahvaljujući snažnom oporavku zarade od trgovanja ukapljenim prirodnim plinom (LNG), nadmašivši predviđanja analitičara o dobiti od osam milijardi dolara.

Godišnja dobit od 39,9 milijardi dolara daleko je premašila prethodni rekord od 31 milijarde dolara iz 2008. godine. Potaknuta je višim cijenama nafte i plina, snažnim maržama rafiniranja i značajnim trgovanjem.

Zarada od LNG odjela dosegnula je šest milijardi dolara, što je rekordna vrijednost, potaknuta velikom ukupnom zaradom od trgovanja izazvanom volatilnošću cijena plina.

Vlade koje se bore s ogromnim računima za energiju odgovorile su nametanjem neočekivanih poreza na energetski sektor, ali britanski oporbeni laburisti rekli su da premijer Rishi Sunak ne čini dovoljno.

"Vlada dopušta tvrtkama koje se bave fosilnim gorivima da ostvaruju ogroman profit svojim odbijanjem da uvedu pravilan porez na iznenadnu dobit", rekao je u izjavi glasnogovornik laburista za klimatsku politiku Ed Miliband.

Shell je rekao da očekuje oko 2,4 milijarde dolara računovodstvenih troškova povezanih s nepredviđenim porezima u 2022. te da će platiti 500 milijuna dolara poreza u gotovini u Britaniji ove godine.

Tvrtka je također najavila novi program otkupa dionica vrijedan četiri milijarde dolara u sljedeća tri mjeseca, nepromijenjen u odnosu na prethodna tri. Naftni div je otkupio 19 milijardi dolara u dionicama u godini do veljače 2023., što je gotovo dvostruko više od ukupnog iznosa u 2019. prije pandemije.

Dobit je pomogla Shellu i mnogim drugim zapadnim energetskim tvrtkama prikriti ogromne otpise imovine u Rusiji iz koje su naglo izašli nakon izbijanja sukoba.

Međutim, Shell je u četvrtak rekao da je nastavio izvoziti nešto LNG-a iz Rusije.
