Glasnogovornica Bijele kuće Jen Psaki kazala je u subotu da je SAD poručio Izraelu da se mora skrbiti za "sigurnost novinara" pošto je vojska srušila zgradu s uredima stranih medija koji su zbog toga šokirani i duboko uznemireni, no Izrael za takav razvoj optužuje Hamas.
"Izravno smo komunicirali s Izraelcima da je sigurnosti novinara i neovisnih medija najvažnija odgovornost", napisala je Psaki na Twitteru.
Dvanaesterokatnica u Gazi s uredima medijskih kuća, katarske televizije Al-Jazeere i novinskih agencija Associated Press te France Presse srušena je u subotu izraelskim projektilima,
Vlasnik zgrade bio je unaprijed obaviješten da slijedi izraelski napad, rekao je izvjestitelj Reutersa te potvrdio da je zgrada bila evakuirana.
U zgradi su osim ureda medijskih kuća bili i brojni stanovi, dodaje Reuters.
Svijet će sada znati manje o događajima u Gazi
Izraelska je vojska objavila na Twitteru da je zgradu koristio Hamas.
Direktor AP-a Gary Pruitt nazvao je rušenje zgrade "nevjerojatno uznemirujućim razvojem događaja". Naveo je da je desetak novinara i suradnika AP-a evakuirano iz zgrade.
"Šokirani smo i prestravljeni jer je izraelska vojska ciljala i uništila zgradu u kojoj su smješteni uredi AP-a i drugih novinskih organizacija u Gazi", poručio je priopćenjem.
"Svijet će znati manje o događajima u Gazi zbog onoga što se danas dogodilo", dodao je.
Direktor Al Jazeere Dr. Mostefa Souag nazvao je napad "barbarskim" te je poručio da bi Izrael trebao odgovarati.
"Cilj ovog gnjusnog zločina je ušutkati medije i sakriti neizreciv pokolj i patnju naroda Gaze", poručio je priopćenjem.
Izrael optužuje Hamas
Glasnogovornik izraelske vojske potpukovnik Jonathan Conricus odbija tezu po kojoj je Izrael napadom želio ušutkati medije.
"To je potpuno pogrešno, mediji nisu meta", kazao je za Reuters, dodavši da je vojska gađala legitimnu vojnu metu, koju su koristili vojni obavještajci Hamasa.
Hamas je vjerojatno smatrao da će, pošto su se smjestili i u zgradu s medijima, "biti sigurni od izraelskog napada", kazao je.
Conricus je kazao da je cijela zgrada morala biti srušena jer nisu mogli biti uklonjeni samo dijelovi zgrade koje koristi Hamas.
"Oni su zauzeli nekoliko katova u zgradi i bilo je nemoguće skinuti samo te katove. Bilo je potrebno srušiti cijelu zgradu", kazao je.
Islamistički pokret Hamas koji je na vlasi u pojasu Gaze i izraelska vojska od ponedjeljka razmjenjuju vatru iz te palestinske enklave na izraelski teritorij, odnosno na samu enklavu u kojoj živi oko dva milijuna stanovnika.
Prema zadnjim podacima na palestinskoj strani ubijeno je 139 osoba, od kojih 39 djece, a tisuću je ranjenih.
Na izraelsku stranu ispaljeno je više od 2300 palestinskih raketa od ponedjeljka i ubijeno je devet osoba, od kojih jedno dijete i jedan vojnik, a ranjeno je više od 560.
Izraelska vojska navodi da je proturaketni štit "željezna kupola" presreo gotovo polovicu tih ispaljenih raketa.

Glasnogovornica Bijele kuće Jen Psaki kazala je u subotu da je SAD poručio Izraelu da se mora skrbiti za "sigurnost novinara" pošto je vojska srušila zgradu s uredima stranih medija koji su zbog toga šokirani i duboko uznemireni, no Izrael za takav razvoj optužuje Hamas.
"Izravno smo komunicirali s Izraelcima da je sigurnosti novinara i neovisnih medija najvažnija odgovornost", napisala je Psaki na Twitteru.
Dvanaesterokatnica u Gazi s uredima medijskih kuća, katarske televizije Al-Jazeere i novinskih agencija Associated Press te France Presse srušena je u subotu izraelskim projektilima,
Vlasnik zgrade bio je unaprijed obaviješten da slijedi izraelski napad, rekao je izvjestitelj Reutersa te potvrdio da je zgrada bila evakuirana.
U zgradi su osim ureda medijskih kuća bili i brojni stanovi, dodaje Reuters.
Svijet će sada znati manje o događajima u Gazi
Izraelska je vojska objavila na Twitteru da je zgradu koristio Hamas.
Direktor AP-a Gary Pruitt nazvao je rušenje zgrade "nevjerojatno uznemirujućim razvojem događaja". Naveo je da je desetak novinara i suradnika AP-a evakuirano iz zgrade.
"Šokirani smo i prestravljeni jer je izraelska vojska ciljala i uništila zgradu u kojoj su smješteni uredi AP-a i drugih novinskih organizacija u Gazi", poručio je priopćenjem.
"Svijet će znati manje o događajima u Gazi zbog onoga što se danas dogodilo", dodao je.
Direktor Al Jazeere Dr. Mostefa Souag nazvao je napad "barbarskim" te je poručio da bi Izrael trebao odgovarati.
"Cilj ovog gnjusnog zločina je ušutkati medije i sakriti neizreciv pokolj i patnju naroda Gaze", poručio je priopćenjem.
Izrael optužuje Hamas
Glasnogovornik izraelske vojske potpukovnik Jonathan Conricus odbija tezu po kojoj je Izrael napadom želio ušutkati medije.
"To je potpuno pogrešno, mediji nisu meta", kazao je za Reuters, dodavši da je vojska gađala legitimnu vojnu metu, koju su koristili vojni obavještajci Hamasa.
Hamas je vjerojatno smatrao da će, pošto su se smjestili i u zgradu s medijima, "biti sigurni od izraelskog napada", kazao je.
Conricus je kazao da je cijela zgrada morala biti srušena jer nisu mogli biti uklonjeni samo dijelovi zgrade koje koristi Hamas.
"Oni su zauzeli nekoliko katova u zgradi i bilo je nemoguće skinuti samo te katove. Bilo je potrebno srušiti cijelu zgradu", kazao je.
Islamistički pokret Hamas koji je na vlasi u pojasu Gaze i izraelska vojska od ponedjeljka razmjenjuju vatru iz te palestinske enklave na izraelski teritorij, odnosno na samu enklavu u kojoj živi oko dva milijuna stanovnika.
Prema zadnjim podacima na palestinskoj strani ubijeno je 139 osoba, od kojih 39 djece, a tisuću je ranjenih.
Na izraelsku stranu ispaljeno je više od 2300 palestinskih raketa od ponedjeljka i ubijeno je devet osoba, od kojih jedno dijete i jedan vojnik, a ranjeno je više od 560.
Izraelska vojska navodi da je proturaketni štit "željezna kupola" presreo gotovo polovicu tih ispaljenih raketa.
