Studija Sveučilišta San Diego Covid-19 definira kao krvožilnu, a ne respiratornu bolest.

Znanstvenički tim koji je radio na istraživanju tvrdi kako ima neoborive dokaze kako koronavirus primarno napada krvotok, a ne organe za disanje. To bi moglo objasniti krvne ugruške kod covid pacijenata i razne druge simptome poput "covid stopala", koja nisu klasični simptomi nijedne respiratorne bolesti.

Novo je to što je tim koji je provodio istraživanje, a koji su uglavnom činili znanstvenici s kalifornijskog Instituta SALK , dokazao mehanizam kojim virus napada krvožilni sustav čovjeka.

Protein šiljka (engl. spike protein ili S protein), koji oblikuje krunu po kojoj je koronavirus dobio ime, napada receptor ACE2, oštećujući mitohondrije koji opskrbljuju stanice energijom i time oštećuju endotel, stanični pokrivač koji oblaže sve krvne žile. A disfunkcionalan endotel je oduvijek direktno povezan s nastankom čitavog niza bolesti: prije svega kardiovaskularnih i cerebrovaskularnih, a onda i metaboličkih i imunoloških. Smatra ga se jednim od ključnih organa ukupnog ljudskog zdravlja.

Znanstvenici Sveučilišta San Diego su za potrebe studije stvorili pseudovirus koji je imao samo protein S, a ne i njegov ostatak. Tako su u laboratoriju dokazali da je taj protein sam po sebi dovoljan da izazove opasnu bolest.

Njezine učinke na dišni sustav ocijenili su posljedicom upale krvožilnog tkiva u plućima.

"Mnogi ljudi o covidu još razmišljaju kao o respiratornoj bolesti, ali to je zaista vaskularna bolest", izjavio je biofizičar Uri Manor, jedan od autora studije.

To po njemu objašnjava zašto neki ljudi uslijed zaraze imaju moždane udare ili probleme s drugim dijelovima tijela. Zajednička stvar svemu tome je da svi imaju vaskularnu podlogu u manifestaciji takvih simptoma.

Profesor Rafael Máñez Mendiluce, koji već godinu dana liječi covid pacijente kao šef intenzivne njege u Sveučilišnoj bolnici Bellvitge, objašnjava kako rezultat istraživanja za njega  nije iznenađenje, s obzirom na kliničke slike onih koje dolaze na njegov odjel. Najveći rizik predstavljali su upravo upalni simptomi koje su razvijali pacijenti. Krvni ugrušci su, napominje, česte pojave i kod drugih virusa. Za Máñeza Mendilucea koji ima 30 godina iskustva u intenzivnoj njezi ovo otkriće ne mijenja drastično mogućnosti liječenja najteže oboljelih.

Podsjeća da se liječenje antitromboticima nije pokazalo posebno učinkovitim, pa i dalje preporučuje usredotočiti se na upalu uzrokovanu imunološkim odgovorom.

Ova studija ne dovodi u pitanje postojeća cjepiva, iako treba bolje proniknuti zašto su AstraZeneca i Johnson & Johnson znali prouzročiti rijetke slučajeve zgrušavanja krvi. Neki medicinski krugovi su se zapitali i je li opasno ubacivati u cjepiva baš replike proteina S, za koje se čini da mogu izazvati bolest.

Profesor Uri Manor s instituta SALK objavio je na svom Twitteru da je količina S proteina u cjepivima premala da bi bila problematična. Također je poručio i kako su m-RNA cjepiva (kakva su Pfizer i Moderna) puno sigurnija od oboljenja.

Istraživači Instituta Salk najavljuju kako će u sljedećoj fazi analize detaljnije raščlaniti put kojim ACE2 receptori oštećeni proteinom S uzrokuju deformacije i oštećenje mitohondrija, što potom proizvodi probleme u ljudskom krvožilnom tkivu. Ključna tajna covida čini se načetom.

Studija Sveučilišta San Diego Covid-19 definira kao krvožilnu, a ne respiratornu bolest.

Znanstvenički tim koji je radio na istraživanju tvrdi kako ima neoborive dokaze kako koronavirus primarno napada krvotok, a ne organe za disanje. To bi moglo objasniti krvne ugruške kod covid pacijenata i razne druge simptome poput "covid stopala", koja nisu klasični simptomi nijedne respiratorne bolesti.

Novo je to što je tim koji je provodio istraživanje, a koji su uglavnom činili znanstvenici s kalifornijskog Instituta SALK , dokazao mehanizam kojim virus napada krvožilni sustav čovjeka.

Protein šiljka (engl. spike protein ili S protein), koji oblikuje krunu po kojoj je koronavirus dobio ime, napada receptor ACE2, oštećujući mitohondrije koji opskrbljuju stanice energijom i time oštećuju endotel, stanični pokrivač koji oblaže sve krvne žile. A disfunkcionalan endotel je oduvijek direktno povezan s nastankom čitavog niza bolesti: prije svega kardiovaskularnih i cerebrovaskularnih, a onda i metaboličkih i imunoloških. Smatra ga se jednim od ključnih organa ukupnog ljudskog zdravlja.

Znanstvenici Sveučilišta San Diego su za potrebe studije stvorili pseudovirus koji je imao samo protein S, a ne i njegov ostatak. Tako su u laboratoriju dokazali da je taj protein sam po sebi dovoljan da izazove opasnu bolest.

Njezine učinke na dišni sustav ocijenili su posljedicom upale krvožilnog tkiva u plućima.

"Mnogi ljudi o covidu još razmišljaju kao o respiratornoj bolesti, ali to je zaista vaskularna bolest", izjavio je biofizičar Uri Manor, jedan od autora studije.

To po njemu objašnjava zašto neki ljudi uslijed zaraze imaju moždane udare ili probleme s drugim dijelovima tijela. Zajednička stvar svemu tome je da svi imaju vaskularnu podlogu u manifestaciji takvih simptoma.

Profesor Rafael Máñez Mendiluce, koji već godinu dana liječi covid pacijente kao šef intenzivne njege u Sveučilišnoj bolnici Bellvitge, objašnjava kako rezultat istraživanja za njega  nije iznenađenje, s obzirom na kliničke slike onih koje dolaze na njegov odjel. Najveći rizik predstavljali su upravo upalni simptomi koje su razvijali pacijenti. Krvni ugrušci su, napominje, česte pojave i kod drugih virusa. Za Máñeza Mendilucea koji ima 30 godina iskustva u intenzivnoj njezi ovo otkriće ne mijenja drastično mogućnosti liječenja najteže oboljelih.

Podsjeća da se liječenje antitromboticima nije pokazalo posebno učinkovitim, pa i dalje preporučuje usredotočiti se na upalu uzrokovanu imunološkim odgovorom.

Ova studija ne dovodi u pitanje postojeća cjepiva, iako treba bolje proniknuti zašto su AstraZeneca i Johnson & Johnson znali prouzročiti rijetke slučajeve zgrušavanja krvi. Neki medicinski krugovi su se zapitali i je li opasno ubacivati u cjepiva baš replike proteina S, za koje se čini da mogu izazvati bolest.

Profesor Uri Manor s instituta SALK objavio je na svom Twitteru da je količina S proteina u cjepivima premala da bi bila problematična. Također je poručio i kako su m-RNA cjepiva (kakva su Pfizer i Moderna) puno sigurnija od oboljenja.

Istraživači Instituta Salk najavljuju kako će u sljedećoj fazi analize detaljnije raščlaniti put kojim ACE2 receptori oštećeni proteinom S uzrokuju deformacije i oštećenje mitohondrija, što potom proizvodi probleme u ljudskom krvožilnom tkivu. Ključna tajna covida čini se načetom.

Studija Sveučilišta San Diego Covid-19 definira kao krvožilnu, a ne respiratornu bolest.

Znanstvenički tim koji je radio na istraživanju tvrdi kako ima neoborive dokaze kako koronavirus primarno napada krvotok, a ne organe za disanje. To bi moglo objasniti krvne ugruške kod covid pacijenata i razne druge simptome poput "covid stopala", koja nisu klasični simptomi nijedne respiratorne bolesti.

Novo je to što je tim koji je provodio istraživanje, a koji su uglavnom činili znanstvenici s kalifornijskog Instituta SALK , dokazao mehanizam kojim virus napada krvožilni sustav čovjeka.
