Ukrajinska sigurnosna služba SBU priopćila je u subotu da je otkrila korupcijsku shemu u kupnji oružja unutar vojske te zemlje u ukupnoj vrijednosti od oko 40 milijuna dolara.
Objava o masovnoj prijevari u nabavi, koju je potvrdilo ukrajinsko ministarstvo obrane, imat će velik odjek u zemlji iscrpljenoj ruskom invazijom koja traje gotovo dvije godine.
Borba za iskorjenjivanje endemske korupcije ostaje glavno pitanje dok Ukrajina nastoji osigurati članstvo u Europskoj uniji.
SBU je rekao da je istraga "razotkrila dužnosnike ministarstva obrane i menadžere dobavljača oružja Lavov Arsenal, koji su ukrali gotovo 1,5 milijardi hrivnji prilikom kupnje granata".
Prema istrazi, u malverzacije su uključeni bivši i sadašnji visoki dužnosnici ministarstva obrane te čelnici povezanih tvrtki.
Pronevjera je, kako se navodi, uključivala kupnju 100. 000 minobacačkih granata za vojsku.
Prebacivanje na strane račune
SBU je rekao da je ugovor za granate sklopljen s Lavov Arsenalom u kolovozu 2022. - šest mjeseci od početka rata - i da je plaćanje izvršeno unaprijed, a dio sredstava prebačen u inozemstvo.
Ali oružje nikada nije isporučeno, stoji u priopćenju, a neka su sredstva zatim prebačena na druge strane račune.
U priopćenju se navodi da je pet osoba dobilo "obavijesti o sumnji" - prva faza u ukrajinskom pravnom postupku - i u ministarstvu i kod dobavljača oružja.
Jedan je osumnjičenik, kako se navodi, priveden dok je pokušavao prijeći ukrajinsku granicu.
Korupcija u vojsci posebno je osjetljivo pitanje u Ukrajini dok pokušava održati javni moral tijekom rata i osigurati članstvo u Europskoj uniji.
Ministar obrane Oleksij Reznikov smijenjen je prošlog rujna zbog raznih slučajeva korupcije unatoč tome što je uživao čvrstu reputaciju u predstavljanju Ukrajine u njezinim razgovorima sa zapadnim saveznicima.
Premda se ne tvrdi da je osobno upleten u korupciju, nekoliko slučajeva pogodilo je vojsku pod njegovim vodstvom, jedan za opskrbu vojnika hranom, drugi za nabavu prikladne odjeće za vojnike.

Ukrajinska sigurnosna služba SBU priopćila je u subotu da je otkrila korupcijsku shemu u kupnji oružja unutar vojske te zemlje u ukupnoj vrijednosti od oko 40 milijuna dolara.
Objava o masovnoj prijevari u nabavi, koju je potvrdilo ukrajinsko ministarstvo obrane, imat će velik odjek u zemlji iscrpljenoj ruskom invazijom koja traje gotovo dvije godine.
Borba za iskorjenjivanje endemske korupcije ostaje glavno pitanje dok Ukrajina nastoji osigurati članstvo u Europskoj uniji.
SBU je rekao da je istraga "razotkrila dužnosnike ministarstva obrane i menadžere dobavljača oružja Lavov Arsenal, koji su ukrali gotovo 1,5 milijardi hrivnji prilikom kupnje granata".
Prema istrazi, u malverzacije su uključeni bivši i sadašnji visoki dužnosnici ministarstva obrane te čelnici povezanih tvrtki.
Pronevjera je, kako se navodi, uključivala kupnju 100. 000 minobacačkih granata za vojsku.
Prebacivanje na strane račune
SBU je rekao da je ugovor za granate sklopljen s Lavov Arsenalom u kolovozu 2022. - šest mjeseci od početka rata - i da je plaćanje izvršeno unaprijed, a dio sredstava prebačen u inozemstvo.
Ali oružje nikada nije isporučeno, stoji u priopćenju, a neka su sredstva zatim prebačena na druge strane račune.
U priopćenju se navodi da je pet osoba dobilo "obavijesti o sumnji" - prva faza u ukrajinskom pravnom postupku - i u ministarstvu i kod dobavljača oružja.
Jedan je osumnjičenik, kako se navodi, priveden dok je pokušavao prijeći ukrajinsku granicu.
Korupcija u vojsci posebno je osjetljivo pitanje u Ukrajini dok pokušava održati javni moral tijekom rata i osigurati članstvo u Europskoj uniji.
Ministar obrane Oleksij Reznikov smijenjen je prošlog rujna zbog raznih slučajeva korupcije unatoč tome što je uživao čvrstu reputaciju u predstavljanju Ukrajine u njezinim razgovorima sa zapadnim saveznicima.
Premda se ne tvrdi da je osobno upleten u korupciju, nekoliko slučajeva pogodilo je vojsku pod njegovim vodstvom, jedan za opskrbu vojnika hranom, drugi za nabavu prikladne odjeće za vojnike.
