Za okupaciju tog naselja u kojem živi 130.000 stanovnika bilo je potrebno 1.180 policajaca i vojnika, 15 oklopnih vozila, 132 policajca u civilu te četiri helikoptera, objavila je policija u Rio de Janeiru.

Smatran jednim od najopasnijih dijelova Ria, Kompleks Maré je smješten na strateškom mjestu grada gdje će prolaziti deseci tisuća navijača na svjetskom prvenstvu. Mare je okružen glavnim pristupnim cestama za Rio, autoputom Linha Vermelha i Linha Amarela, kao i Avenidom Brasil koja povezuje centar s predgrađima ovog grada koji broji 12 milijuna stanovnika.

U operacijama koje su prethodile ovoj okupaciji ovaj tjedan Vojna policija je uhitila 60 osoba među kojima i jednog narkobossa Marcela Santosa das Doresa koji je kontrolirao najmanje 11 favela.

Prema podacima obavještajnih službi, dileri su napustili Maré nakon dojave u ponedjeljak da može uslijediti okupacija.

Guverner Ria Sergio Cabral je nedavno istaknuo da u Maréu, "ima oružja, droge, ukradenih automobila i motocikala te kriminalaca koji se tamo sklanjanju kao da je to njihov teritorij".

Pripadnici policije i vojske će biti u Maréu do 31. srpnja, a ako bude potrebno i dulje dok Policija Ria tamo ne uspostavi policijsku upravu s oko 1.500 policajaca.

U Rio de Janeiru, koji će zajedno s još 12 brazilskih gradova biti domaćin od 12. do 13. srpnja svjetskog nogometnog prvenstva, odigrat će se sedam utakmica među kojima i finale na stadionu Maracana. Rio je 2016. bitid omaćin olimpijskih igara.

nedjelju u zoru ušle u ogroman kompleks favela Maré, zloglasnog narko-uporišta koje želi očistiti dva i pol mjeseca prije početka svjetskog nogometnog prvenstva.

Za okupaciju tog naselja u kojem živi 130.000 stanovnika bilo je potrebno 1.180 policajaca i vojnika, 15 oklopnih vozila, 132 policajca u civilu te četiri helikoptera, objavila je policija u Rio de Janeiru.

Smatran jednim od najopasnijih dijelova Ria, Kompleks Maré je smješten na strateškom mjestu grada gdje će prolaziti deseci tisuća navijača na svjetskom prvenstvu. Mare je okružen glavnim pristupnim cestama za Rio, autoputom Linha Vermelha i Linha Amarela, kao i Avenidom Brasil koja povezuje centar s predgrađima ovog grada koji broji 12 milijuna stanovnika.

U operacijama koje su prethodile ovoj okupaciji ovaj tjedan Vojna policija je uhitila 60 osoba među kojima i jednog narkobossa Marcela Santosa das Doresa koji je kontrolirao najmanje 11 favela.

Prema podacima obavještajnih službi, dileri su napustili Maré nakon dojave u ponedjeljak da može uslijediti okupacija.

Guverner Ria Sergio Cabral je nedavno istaknuo da u Maréu, "ima oružja, droge, ukradenih automobila i motocikala te kriminalaca koji se tamo sklanjanju kao da je to njihov teritorij".

Pripadnici policije i vojske će biti u Maréu do 31. srpnja, a ako bude potrebno i dulje dok Policija Ria tamo ne uspostavi policijsku upravu s oko 1.500 policajaca.

U Rio de Janeiru, koji će zajedno s još 12 brazilskih gradova biti domaćin od 12. do 13. srpnja svjetskog nogometnog prvenstva, odigrat će se sedam utakmica među kojima i finale na stadionu Maracana. Rio je 2016. bitid omaćin olimpijskih igara.

Policija Rio deJaneira i brazilska vojska su u nedjelju u zoru ušle u ogroman kompleksfavela Maré, zloglasnog narko-uporišta koje želi očistiti dva i polmjeseca prije početka svjetskog nogometnog prvenstva.
