Novije - Japanska vlada ukinula je u utorak upozorenje na opasnost od tsunamija za sjeveroistočnu obalu nakon što je snažan potres pogodio to područje ranije u utorak, nakratko prekinuvši funkcije hlađenja u nuklearnoj centrali u Fukushimi i izazvavši u širem području tsunami i valove nešto veće od metra.
"Upozorenje na tsunami povučeno je", objavila je japanska meteorološka agencija u priopćenju objavljenom na njezinoj internetskoj stranici.
U utorak oko 6 ujutro po lokalnom vremenu snažan potres pogodio je regiju Fukushima, onu istu koja je bila razorena u potresu 2011. kada je tsunami izazvao i nuklearnu katastrofu. Magnituda današnjeg potresa prvotno je procijenjena na 7,3 da bi potom procjena bila nešto snižena, na 6,9. Epicentar je bio u moru ispred prefekture Fukushima, na dubini od 10 kilometara.
Potres se osjetio i u udaljenom Tokiju, a vlasti su izdale upozorenje stanovništvu da se u ugroženoj regiji povuče u viša područja zbog opasnosti od tsunamija. Tisuće stanovnika poslušalo je pozive vlasti upućene putem javne televizije da se evakuiraju na sigurno.
Ni nekoliko sati nakon potresa nema izvješća o mrtvima ili ranjenima. Najviši val izazvan tsunamijem zabilježen je u Sendaiju, 70 km sjeverno od Fukushime, dok su niži valovi pogodili druga obalna mjesta duž pogođenog područja, u kojemu je nakon objave upozorenja o mogućem tsunamiju s valovima od 3 metra visine mnoštvo brodova napuštalo luke i kretalo prema otvorenom moru.
Snimke iz zraka pokazale su da je tsunami u nekim područjima podignuo i razinu rijeka, a neke ribarske brodice prevrnute su u luci Higashi-Matsushima.
Pacifički centar za tsunami na Havajima objavio je da je opasnost u najvećoj mjeri prošla te je potom i Japanska meteorološka agencija ukinula znak uzbune zbog tsunamija.
Ranije - Potres magnitude 6,9 pogodio je u utorak rano ujutro Japan, objavila je japanska meteorološka agencija izdavši i upozorenje na tsunami, ali snizivši svoje ranije procjene da je riječ o potresu magnitude 7,3.
Američka geološka agencija također je izmjerila magnitudu od 6,9.
Japanska meteorološka agencija procijenila je mogućnost tsunamija i upozorila da bi se mogli podići valovi do tri metra visoki, zbog čega je upozoreno stanovništvo na sjeveroistočnoj obali, uključujući Fukushimu, područje koje je već bilo poprištem razornog potresa 2011.
Do sada je zabilježeno nekoliko valova tsunamija, od kojih je najviši iznosio 90 cm te je pogodio obalu na sjeveroistoku, javila je javna televizija NHK.
Po podacima agencije, potres se dogodio na dubini od 11,3 km, malo nakon 6 sati ujutro po lokalnom vremenu, u području Pacifika kojemu je najbliža upravo Fukushima, u kojoj je sjedište nuklearke koja je za vrijeme potresa 2011. pretrpjela havariju.
Potres se osjetio i u glavnom gradu Tokiju, no za sada nema nikakvih izvješća o žrtvama niti o štetama.
Prva izvješća govore da nema nikakve značajne štete po nuklearku u Fukushimi.
Japan je smješten na području na kojem se spajaju četiri tektonske ploče te svake godine bilježi relativno jake potrese.
U potresu 2011., koji se također dogodio pod morem, pokrenut je snažan tsunami čiji su visoki valovi izazvali smrt 18.000 ljudi i teško oštetili tri reaktora u nuklearki Fukushima.
Tv kanal NHK prenio je ozbiljna upozorenja stanovništvu uz obalu da se evakuiraju u viša područja.

Novije - Japanska vlada ukinula je u utorak upozorenje na opasnost od tsunamija za sjeveroistočnu obalu nakon što je snažan potres pogodio to područje ranije u utorak, nakratko prekinuvši funkcije hlađenja u nuklearnoj centrali u Fukushimi i izazvavši u širem području tsunami i valove nešto veće od metra.
"Upozorenje na tsunami povučeno je", objavila je japanska meteorološka agencija u priopćenju objavljenom na njezinoj internetskoj stranici.
U utorak oko 6 ujutro po lokalnom vremenu snažan potres pogodio je regiju Fukushima, onu istu koja je bila razorena u potresu 2011. kada je tsunami izazvao i nuklearnu katastrofu. Magnituda današnjeg potresa prvotno je procijenjena na 7,3 da bi potom procjena bila nešto snižena, na 6,9. Epicentar je bio u moru ispred prefekture Fukushima, na dubini od 10 kilometara.
Potres se osjetio i u udaljenom Tokiju, a vlasti su izdale upozorenje stanovništvu da se u ugroženoj regiji povuče u viša područja zbog opasnosti od tsunamija. Tisuće stanovnika poslušalo je pozive vlasti upućene putem javne televizije da se evakuiraju na sigurno.
Ni nekoliko sati nakon potresa nema izvješća o mrtvima ili ranjenima. Najviši val izazvan tsunamijem zabilježen je u Sendaiju, 70 km sjeverno od Fukushime, dok su niži valovi pogodili druga obalna mjesta duž pogođenog područja, u kojemu je nakon objave upozorenja o mogućem tsunamiju s valovima od 3 metra visine mnoštvo brodova napuštalo luke i kretalo prema otvorenom moru.
Snimke iz zraka pokazale su da je tsunami u nekim područjima podignuo i razinu rijeka, a neke ribarske brodice prevrnute su u luci Higashi-Matsushima.
Pacifički centar za tsunami na Havajima objavio je da je opasnost u najvećoj mjeri prošla te je potom i Japanska meteorološka agencija ukinula znak uzbune zbog tsunamija.
Ranije - Potres magnitude 6,9 pogodio je u utorak rano ujutro Japan, objavila je japanska meteorološka agencija izdavši i upozorenje na tsunami, ali snizivši svoje ranije procjene da je riječ o potresu magnitude 7,3.
Američka geološka agencija također je izmjerila magnitudu od 6,9.
Japanska meteorološka agencija procijenila je mogućnost tsunamija i upozorila da bi se mogli podići valovi do tri metra visoki, zbog čega je upozoreno stanovništvo na sjeveroistočnoj obali, uključujući Fukushimu, područje koje je već bilo poprištem razornog potresa 2011.
Do sada je zabilježeno nekoliko valova tsunamija, od kojih je najviši iznosio 90 cm te je pogodio obalu na sjeveroistoku, javila je javna televizija NHK.
Po podacima agencije, potres se dogodio na dubini od 11,3 km, malo nakon 6 sati ujutro po lokalnom vremenu, u području Pacifika kojemu je najbliža upravo Fukushima, u kojoj je sjedište nuklearke koja je za vrijeme potresa 2011. pretrpjela havariju.
Potres se osjetio i u glavnom gradu Tokiju, no za sada nema nikakvih izvješća o žrtvama niti o štetama.
Prva izvješća govore da nema nikakve značajne štete po nuklearku u Fukushimi.
Japan je smješten na području na kojem se spajaju četiri tektonske ploče te svake godine bilježi relativno jake potrese.
U potresu 2011., koji se također dogodio pod morem, pokrenut je snažan tsunami čiji su visoki valovi izazvali smrt 18.000 ljudi i teško oštetili tri reaktora u nuklearki Fukushima.
Tv kanal NHK prenio je ozbiljna upozorenja stanovništvu uz obalu da se evakuiraju u viša područja.
