Visoki ukrajinski dužnosnik koji je ekskluzivno govorio za ABC News, rekao je da je Rusija zamijenila neke starije modele zrakoplova modernijim Suhojima Su-35s, te da ovi ruski borbeni zrakoplovi četvrte generacije omogućavaju jaču dominaciju Ruske Federacije u zoni borbenih djelovanja u Ukrajini. Bitka za Avdiivku koja je započela u pozadini nemogućnosti ruskih snaga da okruže Bahmut, prva je bitka u godinu dana koja pokazuje koliko opasna može biti ruska zračna nadmoć. Avdiivka i njezina okolica već su nekoliko tjedana svakodnevno izloženi sustavnom bombardiranju iz zraka.

 ABC News navodi kako je to potencijalno zabrinjavajuća situacija za Ukrajinu i njezine saveznike jer je ruska nesposobnost da postigne potpunu zračnu nadmoć tijekom cijelog rata bila ključna za ukrajinske uspjehe na bojnom polju. 

Na početku ruske invazije na Ukrajinu većina vojnih analitičara očekivala je da će rusko ratno zrakoplovstvo vrlo brzo u potpunosti zagospodariti nebom iznad Ukrajine, no to se nije dogodilo. Zračne snage Ukrajine i dalje lete borbene misije, ali stalno traže zapadne zrakoplove koje im saveznici ne žele isporučiti.

Zasad su partneri spremni u Ukrajinu prebaciti samo stare lovce sovjetske proizvodnje. Prošli tjedan Slovačka je priopćila da je Ukrajini prebacila prva četiri od od planiranih 11 borbenih aviona MIG sovjetske proizvodnje. Poljska je također obećala Ukrajini isporučiti nekoliko MIG-ova do kraja travnja, a Makedonija je donirala jurišne zrakoplove Su-25.

Ukrajinski dužnosnik je za ABC News rekao kako je ruski Su-35 opremljen "vrlo učinkovitim radarom i raketama za velike udaljenosti", a Rusija koristi te zrakoplove za napad na ukrajinske zrakoplove u zraku, kao i za operacije potpore s zemlje.

„Ukrajina nema mogućnosti suprostaviti se ovoj prijetnji, dodao je dužnosnik ponovivši kako je ruska zračna nadmoć stvarni rizik. Dodao je i da je slanje više sustava protuzračne obrane od Sjedinjenih Država i njihovih saveznika trenutno "prioritet broj 1" za Ukrajinu. Dva druga ukrajinska dužnosnika također su potvrdila da je ruska dominacija nebom nad borbenom zonom glavno pitanje, a jedan dužnosnik naveo je kako Rusija ima 12 puta više zrakoplova od Ukrajine.

Rusi su na početku invazije imali oko 500 lovaca i oko 600 jurišnih zrakoplova. Ukrajina im se mogla suprostaviti sa stotinjak zrakoplova, od toga je bilo 70-tak lovaca i 30 jurišnih aviona Suhoj Su-24 i Su-25. Rusi su svoje zrakoplove donekle modernizirali, dok su ukrajinski ostali bez nadogradnje.

"Ovo je problem. Ono što stalno govorimo Amerikancima je da na kraju nema drugog rješenja osim da nam daju zapadne borbene zrakoplove", komentirao je dužnosnik iz Kijeva.

Bidenova administracija do sada se opirala pozivima da opskrbi Ukrajinu zrakoplovima F-16. Upitan je li otvoren za tu ideju, predsjednik Biden je u siječnju rekao: "Ne!". U veljači je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski tijekom posjeta Londonu, pozvao na isporuku zapadnih borbenih zrakoplova Ukrajini.

Britanski ministar obrane Ben Wallace izjavio je da Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo neće slati borbene zrakoplove u Ukrajinu u skorije vrijeme. Poljski premijer Mateusz Morawiecki pak koncem siječnja je rekao da je Poljska spremna Ukrajini poslati borbene avione F-16 američke proizvodnje, no jasno je da to ne mogu učiniti bez koordiniranog pristanka drugih članica NATO-a.

Umirovljeni pukovnik Steve Ganyard, koji je vojni analitičar ABC Newsa, rekao je kako vjeruje da se ruska zračna nadmoć uglavnom može svesti na brojke.

"Kvantiteta ponekad može biti bolja od kvalitete. Nedostatak zrakoplova i protuzračnih sustava stavlja Ukrajinu u sve nepovoljniji položaj", ocijenio je Ganyard.

U prošlotjednom brifingu s novinarima pak zapadni dužnosnik umanjio je ovu zabrinutost, rekavši da je sposobnost Rusije da kontrolira nebo ograničena protuzračnom obranom i projektilima zemlja-zrak.

"Ne vidimo veliku promjenu u toj situaciji", rekao je američki dužnosnik.

Visoki ukrajinski dužnosnik koji je ekskluzivno govorio za ABC News, rekao je da je Rusija zamijenila neke starije modele zrakoplova modernijim Suhojima Su-35s, te da ovi ruski borbeni zrakoplovi četvrte generacije omogućavaju jaču dominaciju Ruske Federacije u zoni borbenih djelovanja u Ukrajini. Bitka za Avdiivku koja je započela u pozadini nemogućnosti ruskih snaga da okruže Bahmut, prva je bitka u godinu dana koja pokazuje koliko opasna može biti ruska zračna nadmoć. Avdiivka i njezina okolica već su nekoliko tjedana svakodnevno izloženi sustavnom bombardiranju iz zraka.

 ABC News navodi kako je to potencijalno zabrinjavajuća situacija za Ukrajinu i njezine saveznike jer je ruska nesposobnost da postigne potpunu zračnu nadmoć tijekom cijelog rata bila ključna za ukrajinske uspjehe na bojnom polju. 

Na početku ruske invazije na Ukrajinu većina vojnih analitičara očekivala je da će rusko ratno zrakoplovstvo vrlo brzo u potpunosti zagospodariti nebom iznad Ukrajine, no to se nije dogodilo. Zračne snage Ukrajine i dalje lete borbene misije, ali stalno traže zapadne zrakoplove koje im saveznici ne žele isporučiti.

Zasad su partneri spremni u Ukrajinu prebaciti samo stare lovce sovjetske proizvodnje. Prošli tjedan Slovačka je priopćila da je Ukrajini prebacila prva četiri od od planiranih 11 borbenih aviona MIG sovjetske proizvodnje. Poljska je također obećala Ukrajini isporučiti nekoliko MIG-ova do kraja travnja, a Makedonija je donirala jurišne zrakoplove Su-25.

Ukrajinski dužnosnik je za ABC News rekao kako je ruski Su-35 opremljen "vrlo učinkovitim radarom i raketama za velike udaljenosti", a Rusija koristi te zrakoplove za napad na ukrajinske zrakoplove u zraku, kao i za operacije potpore s zemlje.

„Ukrajina nema mogućnosti suprostaviti se ovoj prijetnji, dodao je dužnosnik ponovivši kako je ruska zračna nadmoć stvarni rizik. Dodao je i da je slanje više sustava protuzračne obrane od Sjedinjenih Država i njihovih saveznika trenutno "prioritet broj 1" za Ukrajinu. Dva druga ukrajinska dužnosnika također su potvrdila da je ruska dominacija nebom nad borbenom zonom glavno pitanje, a jedan dužnosnik naveo je kako Rusija ima 12 puta više zrakoplova od Ukrajine.

Rusi su na početku invazije imali oko 500 lovaca i oko 600 jurišnih zrakoplova. Ukrajina im se mogla suprostaviti sa stotinjak zrakoplova, od toga je bilo 70-tak lovaca i 30 jurišnih aviona Suhoj Su-24 i Su-25. Rusi su svoje zrakoplove donekle modernizirali, dok su ukrajinski ostali bez nadogradnje.

"Ovo je problem. Ono što stalno govorimo Amerikancima je da na kraju nema drugog rješenja osim da nam daju zapadne borbene zrakoplove", komentirao je dužnosnik iz Kijeva.

Bidenova administracija do sada se opirala pozivima da opskrbi Ukrajinu zrakoplovima F-16. Upitan je li otvoren za tu ideju, predsjednik Biden je u siječnju rekao: "Ne!". U veljači je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski tijekom posjeta Londonu, pozvao na isporuku zapadnih borbenih zrakoplova Ukrajini.

Britanski ministar obrane Ben Wallace izjavio je da Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo neće slati borbene zrakoplove u Ukrajinu u skorije vrijeme. Poljski premijer Mateusz Morawiecki pak koncem siječnja je rekao da je Poljska spremna Ukrajini poslati borbene avione F-16 američke proizvodnje, no jasno je da to ne mogu učiniti bez koordiniranog pristanka drugih članica NATO-a.

Umirovljeni pukovnik Steve Ganyard, koji je vojni analitičar ABC Newsa, rekao je kako vjeruje da se ruska zračna nadmoć uglavnom može svesti na brojke.

"Kvantiteta ponekad može biti bolja od kvalitete. Nedostatak zrakoplova i protuzračnih sustava stavlja Ukrajinu u sve nepovoljniji položaj", ocijenio je Ganyard.

U prošlotjednom brifingu s novinarima pak zapadni dužnosnik umanjio je ovu zabrinutost, rekavši da je sposobnost Rusije da kontrolira nebo ograničena protuzračnom obranom i projektilima zemlja-zrak.

"Ne vidimo veliku promjenu u toj situaciji", rekao je američki dužnosnik.
