Japan se u petak sjeća atomskog napada na Hirošimu 6. kolovoza 1945. dok je ovogodišnju komemoraciju zasjenila odluka Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) da ove godine ne pozove na minutu šutnje za žrtve.

Preživjeli, rodbina i tek šačica stranih čelnika sudjelovali su na jutarnjoj svečanosti u Hirošimi, na zapadu Japana kako bi odali počast žrtvama i pozvali na mir u svijetu.

Dok traje pandemija koronavirusa javnost je isključena iz svečanosti, kao i 2020., ali ju je mogla pratiti na internetu.

Sudionici, s maskama na licu i u crnim odijelima, u 8.15 sati (četvrtak 01.15 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu), kada je američka atomska bomba prije 76 godina pala na grad, minutom šutnje su odali počast stradalima.

Preživjeli i gradska vlast Hirošime nedavno su predložili MOO-u da pozove športaše da se u Tokiju pridruže odavanju počasti žrtvama.

No predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach nije prihvatio prijedlog, rekavši tek da će svečanost zatvaranja IO-a u nedjelju biti prigoda za odavanje počasti svim žrtvama tragičnih događaja u svjetskoj povijesti.

"To je žalosno, premda cijenimo to što je predsjednik Bach posjetio Hirošimu uoči Igara", rekao je za France Presse gradski dužnosnik Tomohiro Higaki.

Bach je 16. srpnja posjetio Hirošimu kako bi označio početak tradicionalnog "olimpijskog primirja" kada prestaju sva neprijateljstva u svijetu dok traju Olimpijske i Paraolimpijske igre.

Bach je položio vijenac kod spomenika s imenima žrtava A bombe, posjetio je Memorijalni muzej mira i razgovarao s preživjelim stradalnikom.

U toj je prigodi rekao da je IO u Tokiju "svjetlo nade" u bolju i mirniju budućnost.

Njegov je posjet ipak potaknuo kritike u Japanu. Na internetu je pokrenuta peticija koju je potpisalo više od 70.000 ljudi koji misle da je iskoristio Hirošimu kako bi "progurao" OI u Tokiju jer su se japanska javnost i medicinska zajednica protivili održavanju igara zbog pandemije.

U bombardiranju Hirošime poginulo je 140.000 ljudi od kolovoza do prosinca 1945. a u bombardiranju Nagasakija 9. kolovoza iste godine 74.000 ljudi u istom razdoblju. Japan je kapitulirao 15. kolovoza 1945., čime je završen Drugi svjetski rat

Japan se u petak sjeća atomskog napada na Hirošimu 6. kolovoza 1945. dok je ovogodišnju komemoraciju zasjenila odluka Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) da ove godine ne pozove na minutu šutnje za žrtve.

Preživjeli, rodbina i tek šačica stranih čelnika sudjelovali su na jutarnjoj svečanosti u Hirošimi, na zapadu Japana kako bi odali počast žrtvama i pozvali na mir u svijetu.

Dok traje pandemija koronavirusa javnost je isključena iz svečanosti, kao i 2020., ali ju je mogla pratiti na internetu.

Sudionici, s maskama na licu i u crnim odijelima, u 8.15 sati (četvrtak 01.15 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu), kada je američka atomska bomba prije 76 godina pala na grad, minutom šutnje su odali počast stradalima.

Preživjeli i gradska vlast Hirošime nedavno su predložili MOO-u da pozove športaše da se u Tokiju pridruže odavanju počasti žrtvama.

No predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach nije prihvatio prijedlog, rekavši tek da će svečanost zatvaranja IO-a u nedjelju biti prigoda za odavanje počasti svim žrtvama tragičnih događaja u svjetskoj povijesti.

"To je žalosno, premda cijenimo to što je predsjednik Bach posjetio Hirošimu uoči Igara", rekao je za France Presse gradski dužnosnik Tomohiro Higaki.

Bach je 16. srpnja posjetio Hirošimu kako bi označio početak tradicionalnog "olimpijskog primirja" kada prestaju sva neprijateljstva u svijetu dok traju Olimpijske i Paraolimpijske igre.

Bach je položio vijenac kod spomenika s imenima žrtava A bombe, posjetio je Memorijalni muzej mira i razgovarao s preživjelim stradalnikom.

U toj je prigodi rekao da je IO u Tokiju "svjetlo nade" u bolju i mirniju budućnost.

Njegov je posjet ipak potaknuo kritike u Japanu. Na internetu je pokrenuta peticija koju je potpisalo više od 70.000 ljudi koji misle da je iskoristio Hirošimu kako bi "progurao" OI u Tokiju jer su se japanska javnost i medicinska zajednica protivili održavanju igara zbog pandemije.

U bombardiranju Hirošime poginulo je 140.000 ljudi od kolovoza do prosinca 1945. a u bombardiranju Nagasakija 9. kolovoza iste godine 74.000 ljudi u istom razdoblju. Japan je kapitulirao 15. kolovoza 1945., čime je završen Drugi svjetski rat

Japan se u petak sjeća atomskog napada na Hirošimu 6. kolovoza 1945. dok je ovogodišnju komemoraciju zasjenila odluka Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) da ove godine ne pozove na minutu šutnje za žrtve.

Preživjeli, rodbina i tek šačica stranih čelnika sudjelovali su na jutarnjoj svečanosti u Hirošimi, na zapadu Japana kako bi odali počast žrtvama i pozvali na mir u svijetu.

Dok traje pandemija koronavirusa javnost je isključena iz svečanosti, kao i 2020., ali ju je mogla pratiti na internetu.

Sudionici, s maskama na licu i u crnim odijelima, u 8.15 sati (četvrtak 01.15 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu), kada je američka atomska bomba prije 76 godina pala na grad, minutom šutnje su odali počast stradalima.
