Obilne su kiše i snažan vjetar poplavili američko veleposlanstvo, hotel Sofitel s pet zvjezdica te nekoliko bolnica blizu obale u Manili. Bez struje je ostalo više od milijun ljudi, a nekoliko tisuća osoba zarobljeno je u poplavljenim selima u predgrađima gradova.

Nesat je prošao Filipine i ušao u Južnokineskom more, no neki dijelovi otoka Luzon su i dalje zahvaćeni njegovim djelovanjem što 11 tisuća ljudi sprječava u povratku kućama.

Lokalne vlasti pokušavaju normalizirati opskrbu električnom energijom i telekomunikacijsku mrežu te ponovo uspostaviti promet na 61 cestovnom pravcu na otoku Luzonu oštećenom u odronima i poplavama, priopćio je Benito Ramos, čelnik ureda za civilnu zaštitu.

U međuvremenu, prognostičari su naglasili kako se već druga tropska oluja formira nad Pacifikom i mogla bi Luzon, otok s 48 milijuna stanovnika, pogoditi već krajem tjedna.

Filipini se nalaze na neprestanom udaru tajfuna, a u Nock-tenu i Muifi tijekom srpnja poginulo je 70 ljudi dok je kolovoški Nanmadol odnio 35 života.

Prije dvije godine tropska oluja Ketsani poplavila je veći dio filipinskog glavnog grada pri čemu su smrtno stradale 464 osobe.

Obilne su kiše i snažan vjetar poplavili američko veleposlanstvo, hotel Sofitel s pet zvjezdica te nekoliko bolnica blizu obale u Manili. Bez struje je ostalo više od milijun ljudi, a nekoliko tisuća osoba zarobljeno je u poplavljenim selima u predgrađima gradova.

Nesat je prošao Filipine i ušao u Južnokineskom more, no neki dijelovi otoka Luzon su i dalje zahvaćeni njegovim djelovanjem što 11 tisuća ljudi sprječava u povratku kućama.

Lokalne vlasti pokušavaju normalizirati opskrbu električnom energijom i telekomunikacijsku mrežu te ponovo uspostaviti promet na 61 cestovnom pravcu na otoku Luzonu oštećenom u odronima i poplavama, priopćio je Benito Ramos, čelnik ureda za civilnu zaštitu.

U međuvremenu, prognostičari su naglasili kako se već druga tropska oluja formira nad Pacifikom i mogla bi Luzon, otok s 48 milijuna stanovnika, pogoditi već krajem tjedna.

Filipini se nalaze na neprestanom udaru tajfuna, a u Nock-tenu i Muifi tijekom srpnja poginulo je 70 ljudi dok je kolovoški Nanmadol odnio 35 života.

Prije dvije godine tropska oluja Ketsani poplavila je veći dio filipinskog glavnog grada pri čemu su smrtno stradale 464 osobe.

Najmanje 18 ljudi je poginulo, a još se 35 smatra nestalima u oluji koju je na najvećem filipinskom otoku Luzonu u utorak izazvao tajfun Nesat, piše Jutarnji list.
