Zbog pojačane vulkanske aktivnosti u tijeku je evakuacija Vulcana, malenog otočića u Eolsokom arhipelagu, 25 kilometara sjeverno od Sicilije, prenosi RTL.

Gradonačelnik Marco Giorgianni naredio je evakuaciju otprilike 150 stanovnika obalnog područja otoka, koje se nalazi na najvećem udaru sumpornih plinova.

Došlo je do povećanja teških plinova koji smanjuju količinu kisika u zraku i uzrokuju respiratorne poteškoće koje mogu imati smrtonosne posljedice.

Lokalne su vlasti kreirale "crvenu zonu", područje u kojem je razina plina koja se pripisuje vulkanskoj aktivnosti jače koncentrirana. Otok će biti zatvoren za turiste mjesec dana.

Prije mjesec dana nekoliko ljudi na otoku prijavilo je da su vulkanske emisije uzrokovale bolesti njihovih ljubimaca.

- Odjednom sam primijetila da mojih 10 mačaka leži na podu kao da su se onesvijestile, a ni ja se nisam osjećala dobro, teško sam disala. Rekli su mi da je to samo napad panike, a onda su liječnici potvrdili da je uzrok bolesti izdisanje plinova iz kratera - rekla je Stefania Lombardo za talijanski dnevni list la Repubblica.

- Za one koji poznaju otok, ovo nikada prije nije primijećeno... - komentirao je Marco Pistolesi, profesor vulkanologije na Sveučilištu u Pisi.

Rimljani su vjerovali da je mali otok dimnjak Vulkana, boga vatre, a posljednja erupcija dogodila se prije više od 130 godina i trajala je više od pola godine, piše RTL.

Zbog pojačane vulkanske aktivnosti u tijeku je evakuacija Vulcana, malenog otočića u Eolsokom arhipelagu, 25 kilometara sjeverno od Sicilije, prenosi RTL.

Gradonačelnik Marco Giorgianni naredio je evakuaciju otprilike 150 stanovnika obalnog područja otoka, koje se nalazi na najvećem udaru sumpornih plinova.

Došlo je do povećanja teških plinova koji smanjuju količinu kisika u zraku i uzrokuju respiratorne poteškoće koje mogu imati smrtonosne posljedice.

Lokalne su vlasti kreirale "crvenu zonu", područje u kojem je razina plina koja se pripisuje vulkanskoj aktivnosti jače koncentrirana. Otok će biti zatvoren za turiste mjesec dana.

Prije mjesec dana nekoliko ljudi na otoku prijavilo je da su vulkanske emisije uzrokovale bolesti njihovih ljubimaca.

- Odjednom sam primijetila da mojih 10 mačaka leži na podu kao da su se onesvijestile, a ni ja se nisam osjećala dobro, teško sam disala. Rekli su mi da je to samo napad panike, a onda su liječnici potvrdili da je uzrok bolesti izdisanje plinova iz kratera - rekla je Stefania Lombardo za talijanski dnevni list la Repubblica.

- Za one koji poznaju otok, ovo nikada prije nije primijećeno... - komentirao je Marco Pistolesi, profesor vulkanologije na Sveučilištu u Pisi.

Rimljani su vjerovali da je mali otok dimnjak Vulkana, boga vatre, a posljednja erupcija dogodila se prije više od 130 godina i trajala je više od pola godine, piše RTL.

Zbog pojačane vulkanske aktivnosti u tijeku je evakuacija Vulcana, malenog otočića u Eolsokom arhipelagu, 25 kilometara sjeverno od Sicilije, prenosi RTL.

Gradonačelnik Marco Giorgianni naredio je evakuaciju otprilike 150 stanovnika obalnog područja otoka, koje se nalazi na najvećem udaru sumpornih plinova.

Došlo je do povećanja teških plinova koji smanjuju količinu kisika u zraku i uzrokuju respiratorne poteškoće koje mogu imati smrtonosne posljedice.

Lokalne su vlasti kreirale "crvenu zonu", područje u kojem je razina plina koja se pripisuje vulkanskoj aktivnosti jače koncentrirana. Otok će biti zatvoren za turiste mjesec dana.

Prije mjesec dana nekoliko ljudi na otoku prijavilo je da su vulkanske emisije uzrokovale bolesti njihovih ljubimaca.
