Pandemija covida-19 utjecala je na povećanje neodgovarajuće upotrebe antimikrobnih lijekova a nastavi li se porast rezistencije na antibiotike manje bi infekcije u budućnosti mogle postati opasne po život, a ozbiljne bi bilo nemoguće liječiti, upozorili su stručnjaci u ponedjeljak.

Stoga svaki pojedinac svojim odgovornim ponašanjem može pridonijeti očuvanju djelotvornosti antibiotika, rečeno je na panelu u povodu Svjetskog tjedna svjesnosti o antimikrobnim lijekovima. Građane se želi educirati i upozoriti na važnost odgovornog korištenja antibiotika i ostalih antimikrobnih lijekova jer bi zbog antimikrobne rezistencije i neke manje infekcije mogle postati opasne po život.

Od infekcija uzrokovanih bakterijama na antibiotike godišnje umre oko 33 tisuća Europljana a otpornost na antibiotike, iako nije bolest, primjer je globalne prijetnje zdravlju koja već pogađa zemlje u razmjerima pandemije. Ona je uz to značajan trošak i za gospodarstvo jer, osim smrti i invaliditeta, produljena bolest rezultira i dužim boravkom u bolnici, potrebom za skupljim lijekovima i financijskim izazovima za pogođene.

Svaki dan jedan od tri bolesnika u zemljama EU-a primi barem jedan antimikrovni lijek, kao i jedan od dvadeset korisnika doma za starije i nemoćne.

Ne poduzmu li se konkretne mjere, očekuje se da će rezistencija na antimikrobne lijekove do 2050. uzrokovati čak 10 milijuna smrti diljem svijeta – više nego što trenutno ljudi umire od raka, istaknuto je na panelu.

Antibiotici su djelotvorni samo protiv bakterijskih infekcija, ne pomažu u liječenju infekcija uzrokovanih virusima poput običnih prehlada ili gripe, ne sprječavaju širenje virusa na druge osobe te ne djeluju protiv infekcija uzrokovanim gljivama. Zlouporaba antibiotika može rezultirati samo rezistencijom bakterija na terapiju antibioticima te, posljedično, budućom nedjelotvornošću antibiotika u trenutku kada će biti potrebni.

Pije uzimanja antibiotika uvijek treba potražiti savjet liječnika. Nakon što je liječnik potvrdio da postoji potreba za uzimanjem antibiotika, vrlo je važno da se antibiotik uzima isključivo na propisani način. Višak antibiotika ne treba nakon terapije, a za savjet o načinu zbrinjavanja preostalih lijekova treba se obratiti ljekarniku.

Pandemija covida-19 utjecala je na povećanje neodgovarajuće upotrebe antimikrobnih lijekova a nastavi li se porast rezistencije na antibiotike manje bi infekcije u budućnosti mogle postati opasne po život, a ozbiljne bi bilo nemoguće liječiti, upozorili su stručnjaci u ponedjeljak.

Stoga svaki pojedinac svojim odgovornim ponašanjem može pridonijeti očuvanju djelotvornosti antibiotika, rečeno je na panelu u povodu Svjetskog tjedna svjesnosti o antimikrobnim lijekovima. Građane se želi educirati i upozoriti na važnost odgovornog korištenja antibiotika i ostalih antimikrobnih lijekova jer bi zbog antimikrobne rezistencije i neke manje infekcije mogle postati opasne po život.

Od infekcija uzrokovanih bakterijama na antibiotike godišnje umre oko 33 tisuća Europljana a otpornost na antibiotike, iako nije bolest, primjer je globalne prijetnje zdravlju koja već pogađa zemlje u razmjerima pandemije. Ona je uz to značajan trošak i za gospodarstvo jer, osim smrti i invaliditeta, produljena bolest rezultira i dužim boravkom u bolnici, potrebom za skupljim lijekovima i financijskim izazovima za pogođene.

Svaki dan jedan od tri bolesnika u zemljama EU-a primi barem jedan antimikrovni lijek, kao i jedan od dvadeset korisnika doma za starije i nemoćne.

Ne poduzmu li se konkretne mjere, očekuje se da će rezistencija na antimikrobne lijekove do 2050. uzrokovati čak 10 milijuna smrti diljem svijeta – više nego što trenutno ljudi umire od raka, istaknuto je na panelu.

Antibiotici su djelotvorni samo protiv bakterijskih infekcija, ne pomažu u liječenju infekcija uzrokovanih virusima poput običnih prehlada ili gripe, ne sprječavaju širenje virusa na druge osobe te ne djeluju protiv infekcija uzrokovanim gljivama. Zlouporaba antibiotika može rezultirati samo rezistencijom bakterija na terapiju antibioticima te, posljedično, budućom nedjelotvornošću antibiotika u trenutku kada će biti potrebni.

Pije uzimanja antibiotika uvijek treba potražiti savjet liječnika. Nakon što je liječnik potvrdio da postoji potreba za uzimanjem antibiotika, vrlo je važno da se antibiotik uzima isključivo na propisani način. Višak antibiotika ne treba nakon terapije, a za savjet o načinu zbrinjavanja preostalih lijekova treba se obratiti ljekarniku.

Zbog pandemija porasla upotreba antibiotika, stručnjaci upozoravaju: Nastavi li se ovako, i manje bi infekcije mogle postati opasne po život

Pandemija covida-19 utjecala je na povećanje neodgovarajuće upotrebe antimikrobnih lijekova a nastavi li se porast rezistencije na antibiotike manje bi infekcije u budućnosti mogle postati opasne po život, a ozbiljne bi bilo nemoguće liječiti, upozorili su stručnjaci u ponedjeljak.

Stoga svaki pojedinac svojim odgovornim ponašanjem može pridonijeti očuvanju djelotvornosti antibiotika, rečeno je na panelu u povodu Svjetskog tjedna svjesnosti o antimikrobnim lijekovima. Građane se želi educirati i upozoriti na važnost odgovornog korištenja antibiotika i ostalih antimikrobnih lijekova jer bi zbog antimikrobne rezistencije i neke manje infekcije mogle postati opasne po život.
