Sasvim je sigurno da nam u ovoj epidemiji koronavirusa najteže pada socijalno distanciranje, nerijetko i od najbližih. No, znanstvenici ne šalju optimistične poruke, pa tako oni s Harvarda drže da ta mjera sprečavanja širenja koronavirusa možda potrajati sve do 2022. godine, istina ne ovako stroga, piše Jutarnji list.

Ističu kako će to zapravo biti jedini način da se, osim širenja zaraze, bolnice rasterete te krenu raditi i svoj svakodnevni posao.
Znanstvenici su u svome modelu širenja zaraze usporedili novi koronavirus s njegovim “rođacima” koji uzrokuju SARS (teški akutni respiratorni sindrom) i MERS (bliskoistočni respiratorni sindrom).

SARS se pojavio 2003. i do ljeta te godine je nestao, a MERS, koji se pojavio 2012. godine, nakon toga je uglavnom ograničen na područje Bliskog istoka. No, za razliku od svoga srodnika koji uzrokuje SARS, novi koronavirus će očito dulje vrijeme ostati među ljudima.

- Zaraze se šire kada postoje dva uvjeta: zaraženi ljudi i osjetljivi ljudi. Osim ako ne postoji enormno veća razina ‘imuniteta krda’ nego što smo svjesni, većina stanovništva je još uvijek podložna zarazi. Predviđanje kraja pandemije u ljeto ove godine nije u skladu s onim što znamo o širenju infekcije - izjavio je za Guardian Marc Lipsitch, profesor epidemiologije na Harvardu i koautor studije.

Računalni modeli s Harvarda pokazuju da SARS-CoV-2 može izazvati epidemiju u bilo koje doba godine, pri čemu je epidemija koja počinje u jesen ili početkom zime (listopad i studeni) ozbiljnija od one koja se javlja u kasnu zimu ili proljeće (od veljače do svibnja).

- U nedostatku cjepiva bit će nužno nekoliko ‘rundi’ socijalnog distanciranja i relaksacije od mjera kako bismo dostigli ‘imunitet krda’ - rekao je koautor studije Marc Lipsitch na konferenciji za novinare.

U njihovoj najnovijoj studiji ističe se da bi povremena socijalna distanciranja mogla biti potrebna još dvije godine kako bi se spriječio porast infekcije, odnosno da samo jedno razdoblje ovih mjera neće biti dovoljno. Naglašeno je da će brojni čimbenici igrati ulogu u ponašanju koronavirusa tijekom idućih nekoliko godina, uključujući i njegovo sezonsko smanjene te opseg imuniteta.

Drže kako je malo vjerojatno da će Covid-19 slijediti SARS i biti iskorijenjen snažnim javnozdravstvenim mjerama nakon što je izazvao kratku pandemiju. Umjesto toga, virus bi mogao krenuti stopama pandemijske gripe i cirkulirati sezonski.

Istraživači su koristili podatke o sezonalnosti drugih poznatih koronavirusa, pretpostavljajujući određeni unakrsni imunitet između njih i Covida-19, kako bi izradili model višegodišnjih interakcija. Istraživali su koliko dugo mjere socijalnog distanciranja trebaju ostati na snazi kako bi se držala kontrola nad Covidom-19.

Na temelju simulacije stručnjaci su utvrdili da je ključni čimbenik o kojemu ovisi ponašanje virusa u sljedećim godinama brzina nestajanja imuniteta kod onih koji su preboljeli Covid-19, što se tek treba utvrditi.

Ublažavanje

Kažu da prema svim simuliranim scenarijima, uključujući jednokratne i povremene socijalne distance, infekcija ponovno raste kad se one ukinu. Novi model ukazuje da nakon što se ublaži socijalno distanciranje, prenosivost virusa mogla bi se povećati na jesen, a onda može doći do intenzivnog zimskog izbijanja zaraze koje bi se preklopilo sa sezonskom gripom.

Drugi scenarij sugerira da bi se ponovno pojavljivanje slučajeva Covida-19 moglo dogoditi u budućnosti, 2025. godine.

Ako je imunitet na SARS-CoV- 2 trajan, Covid-19 mogao bi nestati za pet ili više godina nakon prvog izbijanja. No, iskustva s respiratornim virusima pokazuju kako taj imunitet nije trajan, nego traje godinu-dvije, a to znači godišnji ciklus epidemije Covida-19, piše Jutarnji list.

Sasvim je sigurno da nam u ovoj epidemiji koronavirusa najteže pada socijalno distanciranje, nerijetko i od najbližih. No, znanstvenici ne šalju optimistične poruke, pa tako oni s Harvarda drže da ta mjera sprečavanja širenja koronavirusa možda potrajati sve do 2022. godine, istina ne ovako stroga, piše Jutarnji list.

Ističu kako će to zapravo biti jedini način da se, osim širenja zaraze, bolnice rasterete te krenu raditi i svoj svakodnevni posao.
Znanstvenici su u svome modelu širenja zaraze usporedili novi koronavirus s njegovim “rođacima” koji uzrokuju SARS (teški akutni respiratorni sindrom) i MERS (bliskoistočni respiratorni sindrom).

SARS se pojavio 2003. i do ljeta te godine je nestao, a MERS, koji se pojavio 2012. godine, nakon toga je uglavnom ograničen na područje Bliskog istoka. No, za razliku od svoga srodnika koji uzrokuje SARS, novi koronavirus će očito dulje vrijeme ostati među ljudima.

- Zaraze se šire kada postoje dva uvjeta: zaraženi ljudi i osjetljivi ljudi. Osim ako ne postoji enormno veća razina ‘imuniteta krda’ nego što smo svjesni, većina stanovništva je još uvijek podložna zarazi. Predviđanje kraja pandemije u ljeto ove godine nije u skladu s onim što znamo o širenju infekcije - izjavio je za Guardian Marc Lipsitch, profesor epidemiologije na Harvardu i koautor studije.

Računalni modeli s Harvarda pokazuju da SARS-CoV-2 može izazvati epidemiju u bilo koje doba godine, pri čemu je epidemija koja počinje u jesen ili početkom zime (listopad i studeni) ozbiljnija od one koja se javlja u kasnu zimu ili proljeće (od veljače do svibnja).

- U nedostatku cjepiva bit će nužno nekoliko ‘rundi’ socijalnog distanciranja i relaksacije od mjera kako bismo dostigli ‘imunitet krda’ - rekao je koautor studije Marc Lipsitch na konferenciji za novinare.

U njihovoj najnovijoj studiji ističe se da bi povremena socijalna distanciranja mogla biti potrebna još dvije godine kako bi se spriječio porast infekcije, odnosno da samo jedno razdoblje ovih mjera neće biti dovoljno. Naglašeno je da će brojni čimbenici igrati ulogu u ponašanju koronavirusa tijekom idućih nekoliko godina, uključujući i njegovo sezonsko smanjene te opseg imuniteta.

Drže kako je malo vjerojatno da će Covid-19 slijediti SARS i biti iskorijenjen snažnim javnozdravstvenim mjerama nakon što je izazvao kratku pandemiju. Umjesto toga, virus bi mogao krenuti stopama pandemijske gripe i cirkulirati sezonski.

Istraživači su koristili podatke o sezonalnosti drugih poznatih koronavirusa, pretpostavljajujući određeni unakrsni imunitet između njih i Covida-19, kako bi izradili model višegodišnjih interakcija. Istraživali su koliko dugo mjere socijalnog distanciranja trebaju ostati na snazi kako bi se držala kontrola nad Covidom-19.

Na temelju simulacije stručnjaci su utvrdili da je ključni čimbenik o kojemu ovisi ponašanje virusa u sljedećim godinama brzina nestajanja imuniteta kod onih koji su preboljeli Covid-19, što se tek treba utvrditi.

Ublažavanje

Kažu da prema svim simuliranim scenarijima, uključujući jednokratne i povremene socijalne distance, infekcija ponovno raste kad se one ukinu. Novi model ukazuje da nakon što se ublaži socijalno distanciranje, prenosivost virusa mogla bi se povećati na jesen, a onda može doći do intenzivnog zimskog izbijanja zaraze koje bi se preklopilo sa sezonskom gripom.

Drugi scenarij sugerira da bi se ponovno pojavljivanje slučajeva Covida-19 moglo dogoditi u budućnosti, 2025. godine.

Ako je imunitet na SARS-CoV- 2 trajan, Covid-19 mogao bi nestati za pet ili više godina nakon prvog izbijanja. No, iskustva s respiratornim virusima pokazuju kako taj imunitet nije trajan, nego traje godinu-dvije, a to znači godišnji ciklus epidemije Covida-19, piše Jutarnji list.

Znanstvenici nisu optimistični, neke mjere protiv koronavirusa mogle bi potrajati i do 2022. godine?!

Sasvim je sigurno da nam u ovoj epidemiji koronavirusa najteže pada socijalno distanciranje, nerijetko i od najbližih. No, znanstvenici ne šalju optimistične poruke, pa tako oni s Harvarda drže da ta mjera sprečavanja širenja koronavirusa možda potrajati sve do 2022. godine, istina ne ovako stroga, piše Jutarnji list.

Ističu kako će to zapravo biti jedini način da se, osim širenja zaraze, bolnice rasterete te krenu raditi i svoj svakodnevni posao.
Znanstvenici su u svome modelu širenja zaraze usporedili novi koronavirus s njegovim “rođacima” koji uzrokuju SARS (teški akutni respiratorni sindrom) i MERS (bliskoistočni respiratorni sindrom).
