Preslatka glumica, zvijezda filmova "Mamma Mia!", "Pisma Juliji" i ‘Lovelace", otvoreno je progovorila o tome kako je živjeti s opsesivno-kompulzivnim poremećajem i stigmom koja ga prati.

Amanda Seyfried je za magazin Allure snimila naslovnu stranu i dala veliki intervju, a pitanje mentalnog zdravlja iskrsnulo je dok su razgovarali o uređenju njezinog doma u New Yorku. Naime, pitali su je ima li odluka da u gostinjsku kuću ne ugradi pećnicu veze s poremećajem, na što je ona odgovorila:

"Da. To je zbog plina. Nešto se lako može zapaliti ako ostavite štednjak upaljen. Ili pećnicu."

Priznala je da zbog poremećaja redovito pije tablete:

"Uzimam Lexapro i tako će vjerojatno biti zauvijek. Pijem ih već 11 godina, otkako sam napunila 19, ali najnižu dozu. Ne znam je li to placebo ili nije, ali ne želim riskirati!"

Mentalne bolesti ljudi percipiraju posve drugačije od drugih bolesti, ali mislim da to nije toliko različito. Treba se shvatiti ozbiljno kao i bilo što drugo. Bez obzira što se mentalna bolest ne vidi - to nije izraslina niti cista - ali je tamo. Zašto nam treba dokaz? Ako se može liječiti, onda se liječite!"

Seyfried je otkrila i da je u početku mislila da se njezin poremećaj manifestira fizički:

"Imala sam jaku tjeskobu, što je proizlazilo iz opsesivno-kompulzivnog poremećaja, bila sam uvjerena da mi je izrastao tumor na mozgu. Bila sam na magnetskoj rezonanci, ali me neurolog uputio psihijatru. Kako sam starija, tako su se kompulzivne misli i strahovi umanjili. Saznanje da većina mojih strahova nema uporište u stvarnosti jako pomaže..."

Preslatka glumica, zvijezda filmova "Mamma Mia!", "Pisma Juliji" i ‘Lovelace", otvoreno je progovorila o tome kako je živjeti s opsesivno-kompulzivnim poremećajem i stigmom koja ga prati.

Amanda Seyfried je za magazin Allure snimila naslovnu stranu i dala veliki intervju, a pitanje mentalnog zdravlja iskrsnulo je dok su razgovarali o uređenju njezinog doma u New Yorku. Naime, pitali su je ima li odluka da u gostinjsku kuću ne ugradi pećnicu veze s poremećajem, na što je ona odgovorila:

"Da. To je zbog plina. Nešto se lako može zapaliti ako ostavite štednjak upaljen. Ili pećnicu."

Priznala je da zbog poremećaja redovito pije tablete:

"Uzimam Lexapro i tako će vjerojatno biti zauvijek. Pijem ih već 11 godina, otkako sam napunila 19, ali najnižu dozu. Ne znam je li to placebo ili nije, ali ne želim riskirati!"

Mentalne bolesti ljudi percipiraju posve drugačije od drugih bolesti, ali mislim da to nije toliko različito. Treba se shvatiti ozbiljno kao i bilo što drugo. Bez obzira što se mentalna bolest ne vidi - to nije izraslina niti cista - ali je tamo. Zašto nam treba dokaz? Ako se može liječiti, onda se liječite!"

Seyfried je otkrila i da je u početku mislila da se njezin poremećaj manifestira fizički:

"Imala sam jaku tjeskobu, što je proizlazilo iz opsesivno-kompulzivnog poremećaja, bila sam uvjerena da mi je izrastao tumor na mozgu. Bila sam na magnetskoj rezonanci, ali me neurolog uputio psihijatru. Kako sam starija, tako su se kompulzivne misli i strahovi umanjili. Saznanje da većina mojih strahova nema uporište u stvarnosti jako pomaže..."
