Ivan Pešić, 30-godišnji nogometaš ukrajinskog prvoligaša Vorskle iz Poltave, nakon opasne avanture, to jest bijega iz ratnog kaosa, uživa u krugu svoje obitelji, u zagrljaju supruge Antonije i sinčića Maura, ali, kaže, u prvoj rečenici:
- Duša me boli, teško mi je toliko da se ne usuđujem gledati televiziju i raporte iz napadnute Ukrajine. Ma tisuću, može se reći figurativno milijun puta sam se proteklih dana pitao je li moguće da se događa ova agresija i da jedan narod, toliko dobar, susretljiv, miran, prolazi kroz ovakvu kalvariju.
Pešić je imao sreće, jer se relativno na siguran način domogao Splita nakon više od 60 sati putovanja iz Poltave, odakle je u grupi s desetoricom izbjeglica, sve stranaca, na vrat na nos krenuo prema mađarskoj i slovačkoj granici do slobode.
- Čujte, možete li zamisliti kakvo me iznenađenje, pravi šok pogodio kad me je u zoru, u taj četvrtak u pet sati probudio prijateljev poziv. Rekao je da se brzo spremim, jer moram otići, napustiti Poltavu. Pitao sam ga što se dogodilo, on je samo rekao: 'Napali su nas Rusi, hitno pođi u klub', pišu Sportske novosti.
U klubu su objasnili stranim igračima da se snađu kako znaju, oni su pokušali dobiti autobus kojim bi otputovali, ali se pokazalo da nema goriva za toliki put na drugi kraj Ukrajine. Onda mu se oko 14 sati opet javio prijatelj i ponudio mu automobil za bijeg.
- Toliko srca, susretljivosti, mogu pokazati samo plemeniti ljudi. Maksim Karagodin već je ranije krenuo s roditeljima prema zapadu, u blizini Lavova njegova obitelj ima vikendicu. On i još jedan čovjek ostavili su u klubu dva automobila, jedan je bio BMW petica, drugi nova Toyota i nas desetero se odmah ukrcalo i krenuli smo u neizvjesnost.
S Pešićem su bili njegovi suigrači Hrvat Puclin, Makedonac Zajkov sa suprugom Ljupkom i dvogodišnjim sinčićem Lukom, dva brata Luksemburžanina Oliver i Vincent Thill pa Španjolac Almicar i naš Kaštelanin Lovrić iz drugoligaša Krivbasa…
- Bježali smo vrlo sporo jer su ceste bile pretrpane, kolone nepregledne. Ali smo se zato osjećali nekako sigurnije… Mi smo neko vrijeme strpljivo vozili, onda smo počeli, da tako kažem, jurišati lijevom trakom. Policajci su nas zaustavljali, ali odmah i puštali dalje kad smo im pokazali naše putovnice. Kao stranci, uživali smo prednost..
Tako su poslije brojnih peripetija stigli do Maksima Karagodina. Imali su problema, jer su Ukrajinci srušili most pa su vozili obilaznim putem ("doslovno petnaest na sat"), onda im je na jednom automobilu pukla guma. A uz to je bio policijski sat, noću se nije smjelo voziti…
- Maks nas je dočekao u dva u noći, u njegovoj kući bilo je puno ljudi, dobili smo hranu, mogli smo odspavati do zore. Ma kakvi, čekali smo kad će svanuti… Maksim je našao jedan kombi, platili smo 300 eura i krenuli na put dug oko 200 kilometara prema granici s Mađarskom. Nadomak granice sve je bilo zagušeno. Ponadali smo se da ćemo s putovnicama u rukama granicu proći pješice, vojnici nam nisu dali. Morali smo otići u red… Pokušavali smo dobiti mjesto u automobilu, jedna žena je prihvatila prevesti gospođu Ljupku i malog Luku, ali ona se nije htjela odvojiti od supruga.
Ipak, dobili su nadu, jedan od Ukrajinaca im je prišao, rekao da može osigurati kombi za 130 eura po osobi. Naravno, Pešić i njegovi suputnici su prihvatili, ali su morali čekati taj kombi.
- Moja supruga je u Splitu alarmirala naše prijatelje, jedan od njih, Tomislav Prljević, javio joj je da čekam telefonski poziv s ukrajinskog broja. Bilo je to mučno iščekivanje. Odjednom, zazvonio je mobitel, javio se neki čovjek, objasnio gdje moramo doći. Bio je to ukrajinski vojnik, on je osigurao mjesta u autobusu i bili smo spašeni.

Ivan Pešić, 30-godišnji nogometaš ukrajinskog prvoligaša Vorskle iz Poltave, nakon opasne avanture, to jest bijega iz ratnog kaosa, uživa u krugu svoje obitelji, u zagrljaju supruge Antonije i sinčića Maura, ali, kaže, u prvoj rečenici:
- Duša me boli, teško mi je toliko da se ne usuđujem gledati televiziju i raporte iz napadnute Ukrajine. Ma tisuću, može se reći figurativno milijun puta sam se proteklih dana pitao je li moguće da se događa ova agresija i da jedan narod, toliko dobar, susretljiv, miran, prolazi kroz ovakvu kalvariju.
Pešić je imao sreće, jer se relativno na siguran način domogao Splita nakon više od 60 sati putovanja iz Poltave, odakle je u grupi s desetoricom izbjeglica, sve stranaca, na vrat na nos krenuo prema mađarskoj i slovačkoj granici do slobode.
- Čujte, možete li zamisliti kakvo me iznenađenje, pravi šok pogodio kad me je u zoru, u taj četvrtak u pet sati probudio prijateljev poziv. Rekao je da se brzo spremim, jer moram otići, napustiti Poltavu. Pitao sam ga što se dogodilo, on je samo rekao: 'Napali su nas Rusi, hitno pođi u klub', pišu Sportske novosti.
U klubu su objasnili stranim igračima da se snađu kako znaju, oni su pokušali dobiti autobus kojim bi otputovali, ali se pokazalo da nema goriva za toliki put na drugi kraj Ukrajine. Onda mu se oko 14 sati opet javio prijatelj i ponudio mu automobil za bijeg.
- Toliko srca, susretljivosti, mogu pokazati samo plemeniti ljudi. Maksim Karagodin već je ranije krenuo s roditeljima prema zapadu, u blizini Lavova njegova obitelj ima vikendicu. On i još jedan čovjek ostavili su u klubu dva automobila, jedan je bio BMW petica, drugi nova Toyota i nas desetero se odmah ukrcalo i krenuli smo u neizvjesnost.
S Pešićem su bili njegovi suigrači Hrvat Puclin, Makedonac Zajkov sa suprugom Ljupkom i dvogodišnjim sinčićem Lukom, dva brata Luksemburžanina Oliver i Vincent Thill pa Španjolac Almicar i naš Kaštelanin Lovrić iz drugoligaša Krivbasa…
- Bježali smo vrlo sporo jer su ceste bile pretrpane, kolone nepregledne. Ali smo se zato osjećali nekako sigurnije… Mi smo neko vrijeme strpljivo vozili, onda smo počeli, da tako kažem, jurišati lijevom trakom. Policajci su nas zaustavljali, ali odmah i puštali dalje kad smo im pokazali naše putovnice. Kao stranci, uživali smo prednost..
Tako su poslije brojnih peripetija stigli do Maksima Karagodina. Imali su problema, jer su Ukrajinci srušili most pa su vozili obilaznim putem ("doslovno petnaest na sat"), onda im je na jednom automobilu pukla guma. A uz to je bio policijski sat, noću se nije smjelo voziti…
- Maks nas je dočekao u dva u noći, u njegovoj kući bilo je puno ljudi, dobili smo hranu, mogli smo odspavati do zore. Ma kakvi, čekali smo kad će svanuti… Maksim je našao jedan kombi, platili smo 300 eura i krenuli na put dug oko 200 kilometara prema granici s Mađarskom. Nadomak granice sve je bilo zagušeno. Ponadali smo se da ćemo s putovnicama u rukama granicu proći pješice, vojnici nam nisu dali. Morali smo otići u red… Pokušavali smo dobiti mjesto u automobilu, jedna žena je prihvatila prevesti gospođu Ljupku i malog Luku, ali ona se nije htjela odvojiti od supruga.
Ipak, dobili su nadu, jedan od Ukrajinaca im je prišao, rekao da može osigurati kombi za 130 eura po osobi. Naravno, Pešić i njegovi suputnici su prihvatili, ali su morali čekati taj kombi.
- Moja supruga je u Splitu alarmirala naše prijatelje, jedan od njih, Tomislav Prljević, javio joj je da čekam telefonski poziv s ukrajinskog broja. Bilo je to mučno iščekivanje. Odjednom, zazvonio je mobitel, javio se neki čovjek, objasnio gdje moramo doći. Bio je to ukrajinski vojnik, on je osigurao mjesta u autobusu i bili smo spašeni.
