Zavjesa se spustila, Hrvatska je uzela zlato, prvenstvo je gotovo.
Ali posla za organizatore još ima preko glave. Javio nam se glavni tajnik HVS-a i izvršni direktor splitskog Eura Renato Živković. Umoran i iscrpljen, ali zadovoljan i ponosan. Čovjek je odradio Europsko prvenstvo s „jednom i po’ rukom”. Kako? Ozlijedio je ruku u najgori čas, u jeku najvećih priprema. Kakva je to samo nezgoda bila, za smijati se ili plakati...
- Evo me, umoran sam, ali zadovoljan – počinje Živković, bez obzira na sve uvijek vedar i veseo.
- Osvojili smo zlato, dobili potvrdu da se čitavi posao u zadnje dvije godine isplatio. Ali svjestan sam da još nije kraj. Pred nama su dva tjedna razmontiravanja bazena, press tribine, podesta, video zida... Treba Spaladium Arenu dovesti u prvobitno stanje.
Kad smo već kod bazena... Što će biti s njima? Gdje će završiti?
- Odluka će biti donesena uskoro, moramo još definirati neke stvari. Moja želja je da bazen ostane na dobrobit građanima Hrvatske. Potrebno je to našem društvu, ali i vaterpolu kao sportu. Francuska, primjerice, ima više od 5000 bazena. Nama bi i ovaj jedan dodatni puno značio. Neka djeca plivaju i treniraju, neka se svi rekreiraju.
Organizacija je odrađena na vrhunskom nivou. Nije nedostajalo ni popratnog sadržaja. Poslije svake utakmice u sklopu Spaladium Arene organizirani su koncerti. Neka od najvećih imena naše estrade pjevala su za sve koji su se domogli ulaznica.
- To nam je i bio cilj u slaganju cijele priče. Stvorila se sinergija nas organizatora, igrača, navijača, ma svih koji su sudjelovali. Tu je bilo i preko 200 volontera koji su danonoćno pazili da sve teče kako treba. Nemojte zaboraviti ni da su se na bazenu u Poljudu svaki dan, cijeli dan održavali treninzi.

Onda i ne trebamo pitati kakve su reakcije?
- Oko 300 stranih novinara i ostalog osoblja pratilo je prvenstvo. Svi su oduševljeni. Zadnjih nekoliko dana došli su i čelni ljudi krovne europske i svjetske plivačke organizacije. Nismo od njih čuli samo riječi hvale, nego su ljudi zaista bili pozitivno šokirani.
Zablistao je Spaladium, uvjerili smo se u to nebrojeno puta tijekom protekla dva tjedna. Veseli i da je vaterpolo zagospodario medijskim prostorom. Na neko vrije, postao je sport broj jedan u Hrvatskoj. A kako se približavala završnica pritisak oko brojnih zahtjeva za ulaznice postajao je neizdrživ.
- Ja sam osobno dobio na stotine poruka, mailova, poziva. Prije početka sam pretpostavljao da će postojati interes, ali baš toliko... Nisam mislio da će naši ljudi biti spremni potegnuti u Split iz Austrije ili Njemačke. Nama u Savezu ovo je samo još jedan dokaz da smo na pravom putu.
Na kraju se sve poklopilo, od organizacije do rezultata.
- Ne želim zvučati bahato, ali sanjao da je ovakav scenarij ostvariv. Puno je, naravno, ovisilo i o igračima i stručnom stožeru. Bez njihove predstave to ne bi bilo to. Ali osvojili smo zlato u predivnoj atmosferi. Mislim da smo i mi u organizaciji također zaslužili zlatnu medalju.
Uspjeh naše reprezentacije zasigurno će imati i blagotvoran učinak na porast broja djece u vaterpolu.
- Veliki je ovo korak za naš sport. Mi radimo na poboljšanju stanja u svim kolektivnim sportovima. Bili smo u problemima, ali došlo je do pomaka na bolje. Ovaj rezultat je dobra polazna osnova, ali i dalje treba rješavati probleme.
Ne treba gledati dalje od Spaladium Arene...
- Mislim da smo u ova dva tjedna pokazali dovoljno svima koji će odlučivati o sudbini Spaladiuma. Split treba ovu arenu. Ne samo za sportske događaje, već i za kulturne i sve ostale. Neka ovo bude moj apel. Znam da je situacija zamršena. Tu su stečajna upraviteljica, banke, problemi... Ali jednostavno se mora iznaći rješenje jer ova arena ima svrhu, mora biti na ponos građanima Splita i Hrvatske – poručio je Živković. ∙

Zavjesa se spustila, Hrvatska je uzela zlato, prvenstvo je gotovo.
Ali posla za organizatore još ima preko glave. Javio nam se glavni tajnik HVS-a i izvršni direktor splitskog Eura Renato Živković. Umoran i iscrpljen, ali zadovoljan i ponosan. Čovjek je odradio Europsko prvenstvo s „jednom i po’ rukom”. Kako? Ozlijedio je ruku u najgori čas, u jeku najvećih priprema. Kakva je to samo nezgoda bila, za smijati se ili plakati...
- Evo me, umoran sam, ali zadovoljan – počinje Živković, bez obzira na sve uvijek vedar i veseo.
- Osvojili smo zlato, dobili potvrdu da se čitavi posao u zadnje dvije godine isplatio. Ali svjestan sam da još nije kraj. Pred nama su dva tjedna razmontiravanja bazena, press tribine, podesta, video zida... Treba Spaladium Arenu dovesti u prvobitno stanje.
Kad smo već kod bazena... Što će biti s njima? Gdje će završiti?
- Odluka će biti donesena uskoro, moramo još definirati neke stvari. Moja želja je da bazen ostane na dobrobit građanima Hrvatske. Potrebno je to našem društvu, ali i vaterpolu kao sportu. Francuska, primjerice, ima više od 5000 bazena. Nama bi i ovaj jedan dodatni puno značio. Neka djeca plivaju i treniraju, neka se svi rekreiraju.
Organizacija je odrađena na vrhunskom nivou. Nije nedostajalo ni popratnog sadržaja. Poslije svake utakmice u sklopu Spaladium Arene organizirani su koncerti. Neka od najvećih imena naše estrade pjevala su za sve koji su se domogli ulaznica.
- To nam je i bio cilj u slaganju cijele priče. Stvorila se sinergija nas organizatora, igrača, navijača, ma svih koji su sudjelovali. Tu je bilo i preko 200 volontera koji su danonoćno pazili da sve teče kako treba. Nemojte zaboraviti ni da su se na bazenu u Poljudu svaki dan, cijeli dan održavali treninzi.

Onda i ne trebamo pitati kakve su reakcije?
- Oko 300 stranih novinara i ostalog osoblja pratilo je prvenstvo. Svi su oduševljeni. Zadnjih nekoliko dana došli su i čelni ljudi krovne europske i svjetske plivačke organizacije. Nismo od njih čuli samo riječi hvale, nego su ljudi zaista bili pozitivno šokirani.
Zablistao je Spaladium, uvjerili smo se u to nebrojeno puta tijekom protekla dva tjedna. Veseli i da je vaterpolo zagospodario medijskim prostorom. Na neko vrije, postao je sport broj jedan u Hrvatskoj. A kako se približavala završnica pritisak oko brojnih zahtjeva za ulaznice postajao je neizdrživ.
- Ja sam osobno dobio na stotine poruka, mailova, poziva. Prije početka sam pretpostavljao da će postojati interes, ali baš toliko... Nisam mislio da će naši ljudi biti spremni potegnuti u Split iz Austrije ili Njemačke. Nama u Savezu ovo je samo još jedan dokaz da smo na pravom putu.
Na kraju se sve poklopilo, od organizacije do rezultata.
- Ne želim zvučati bahato, ali sanjao da je ovakav scenarij ostvariv. Puno je, naravno, ovisilo i o igračima i stručnom stožeru. Bez njihove predstave to ne bi bilo to. Ali osvojili smo zlato u predivnoj atmosferi. Mislim da smo i mi u organizaciji također zaslužili zlatnu medalju.
Uspjeh naše reprezentacije zasigurno će imati i blagotvoran učinak na porast broja djece u vaterpolu.
- Veliki je ovo korak za naš sport. Mi radimo na poboljšanju stanja u svim kolektivnim sportovima. Bili smo u problemima, ali došlo je do pomaka na bolje. Ovaj rezultat je dobra polazna osnova, ali i dalje treba rješavati probleme.
Ne treba gledati dalje od Spaladium Arene...
- Mislim da smo u ova dva tjedna pokazali dovoljno svima koji će odlučivati o sudbini Spaladiuma. Split treba ovu arenu. Ne samo za sportske događaje, već i za kulturne i sve ostale. Neka ovo bude moj apel. Znam da je situacija zamršena. Tu su stečajna upraviteljica, banke, problemi... Ali jednostavno se mora iznaći rješenje jer ova arena ima svrhu, mora biti na ponos građanima Splita i Hrvatske – poručio je Živković. ∙
