Big Ben, kako popularno zovu veliko zvono u Elizabetinu tornju britanskog parlamenta koji je trenutačno u obnovi, oglasit će se u prigodi Nove godine, kada će obilježiti izlazak Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva iz Europske unije.

Dana 31. prosinca navečer zvono će u ponoć otkucati uobičajenih 12 udaraca, ali i u 23.00 sata po londonskom vremenu (ponoć po srednjoeuropskom) radi provjere mehanizma, kada se ujedno završava prijelazno razdoblje nakon Brexita koji se dogodio 31. siječnja, priopćile su u četvrtak službe britanskog parlamenta.

Velika Britanija je tijekom tog razdoblja nastavila primjenjivati europska pravila dok je istodobno pregovarala o svojim budućim trgovinskim vezama s EU-om. Pregovori još nisu završeni iako je ostalo nekoliko dana prije predviđenog roka.

Elizabetin toranj, završen 1859., usred je obnove koja je počela 2017. pa Britanci ne čuju zvonjavu Big Bena osim u rijetkim prilikama, kakva je zadnji put bila 11. studenog kada je obilježio završetak Prvog svjetskog rata 1918. Unatoč upornim nastojanjima pristaša Brexita, Big Ben je 31. siječnja ostao "šutjeti" kada je Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo napustilo Europsku uniju.

Parlamentarne službe su priopćile u četvrtak da će glasovito zvono teško 13,7 tona u ponoć otkucati 12 puta kako bi obilježilo početak Nove godine. Zvono će radi provjere mehanizma zvoniti na mahove 29. i 30. prosinca, zatim u planirano vrijeme 31. prosinca, pa tako i u 23.00 sata kada zemlja bude napuštala EU.

Ove godine je zbog pandemije novog koronavirusa otkazan vatromet na obali Temze, u središtu Londona, koji svake godine gleda oko 100.000 ljudi.

Nacionalna proslava Brexita predviđa se 2022.

Big Ben, kako popularno zovu veliko zvono u Elizabetinu tornju britanskog parlamenta koji je trenutačno u obnovi, oglasit će se u prigodi Nove godine, kada će obilježiti izlazak Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva iz Europske unije.

Dana 31. prosinca navečer zvono će u ponoć otkucati uobičajenih 12 udaraca, ali i u 23.00 sata po londonskom vremenu (ponoć po srednjoeuropskom) radi provjere mehanizma, kada se ujedno završava prijelazno razdoblje nakon Brexita koji se dogodio 31. siječnja, priopćile su u četvrtak službe britanskog parlamenta.

Velika Britanija je tijekom tog razdoblja nastavila primjenjivati europska pravila dok je istodobno pregovarala o svojim budućim trgovinskim vezama s EU-om. Pregovori još nisu završeni iako je ostalo nekoliko dana prije predviđenog roka.

Elizabetin toranj, završen 1859., usred je obnove koja je počela 2017. pa Britanci ne čuju zvonjavu Big Bena osim u rijetkim prilikama, kakva je zadnji put bila 11. studenog kada je obilježio završetak Prvog svjetskog rata 1918. Unatoč upornim nastojanjima pristaša Brexita, Big Ben je 31. siječnja ostao "šutjeti" kada je Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo napustilo Europsku uniju.

Parlamentarne službe su priopćile u četvrtak da će glasovito zvono teško 13,7 tona u ponoć otkucati 12 puta kako bi obilježilo početak Nove godine. Zvono će radi provjere mehanizma zvoniti na mahove 29. i 30. prosinca, zatim u planirano vrijeme 31. prosinca, pa tako i u 23.00 sata kada zemlja bude napuštala EU.

Ove godine je zbog pandemije novog koronavirusa otkazan vatromet na obali Temze, u središtu Londona, koji svake godine gleda oko 100.000 ljudi.

Nacionalna proslava Brexita predviđa se 2022.

Obnovljeni Big Ben oglasit će se za Novu godinu, ali i sat vremena ranije, zbog Brexita

Big Ben, kako popularno zovu veliko zvono u Elizabetinu tornju britanskog parlamenta koji je trenutačno u obnovi, oglasit će se u prigodi Nove godine, kada će obilježiti izlazak Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva iz Europske unije.

Dana 31. prosinca navečer zvono će u ponoć otkucati uobičajenih 12 udaraca, ali i u 23.00 sata po londonskom vremenu (ponoć po srednjoeuropskom) radi provjere mehanizma, kada se ujedno završava prijelazno razdoblje nakon Brexita koji se dogodio 31. siječnja, priopćile su u četvrtak službe britanskog parlamenta.

Velika Britanija je tijekom tog razdoblja nastavila primjenjivati europska pravila dok je istodobno pregovarala o svojim budućim trgovinskim vezama s EU-om. Pregovori još nisu završeni iako je ostalo nekoliko dana prije predviđenog roka.
