Bio jednom farmer s 10 ovaca, pčelar s 41 košnicom i kuhar sa 62 fazana i pauna. I svi su mirno živjeli na poljima i livadama mjesta zvanog Donbas.
Ali onda su ruski osvajači došli sa sjevera i istoka, a rakete su pljuštale oko njih, a poljoprivrednik, pčelar i kuhar su se pripremili napustiti svoje domove, pridruživši se milijunima drugih Ukrajinaca u egzodusu koji je postao najveća migrantska kriza u Europi od Drugog svjetskog rata.
Dok se njihovi vlasnici spremaju na put, kamo bi mogle otići ovce, pčele, kornjača, fazani i paunovi?
Odgovor je bio Green Grove, farma na rubu ukrajinskog sela koje je postalo neočekivano utočište za životinje raseljene zbog rata - i za neke vlasnike koji se od njih nisu imali srca rastati.

Sa sukobom u Ukrajini u svom četvrtom mjesecu i s ruskom vojskom koja prodire dublje na istok zemlje, život stanovnika potpuno je promijenjen, a njihovi domovi zbrisani su u topničkim paljbama.
Ratne nevolje mnoge su natjerale da ostave svoje životinje. Na otvorenim poljoprivrednim zemljištima na istoku to znači manje mačaka, pasa i drugih kućnih ljubimaca napuštenih u opkoljenim velikim gradovima kao što je Kijev, a više radnih životinja, koje je teže bilo premjestiti.
Nakon dolaska u Dnipro, središnji ukrajinski grad koji je postao glavna putna točka za one koji bježe s istoka, ljudi sa životinjama često pronađu svog spasitelja u 31-godišnjoj Evgeniji Molčanovoj, neumornoj ženi koja je drži i vodi Green Grove sa svojim suprugom Anatolijem Pilipenkom.
- Kad je počeo rat, osjećali smo da to moramo učiniti, jer nije bilo skloništa koja bi prihvatila te životinje bez plaćanja - rekla je Molčanova, u bijelim trapericama, majici kratkih rukava i kapici sa znakom farme.
- Koji novac možete uzeti od ljudi koji nemaju kuću? Odlučili smo ih primiti besplatno - dodala je.

Ta je odluka 14-mjesečnu farmu Molčanove i Pilipenka pretvorila u hotel za životinje. Osim spomenutih gostiju, popis sada uključuje desetke ovaca, koza, krava, svinja, konja, gusaka, kokoši i drugih vrsta peradi, zečeva, pasa, mačaka i par emua, a svaki tjedan donosi nove podstanare.

Naravno, to otvara pitanja upravljanja i upravljanja. Možete li držati male zečeve u blizini pasa? Gdje staviti egzotične ptice iz rezervata Askania-Nova, dopremljene čak iz Hersona na jugu koji je okupirala Rusija? Ima li mjesta za 18 konja koji uskoro dolaze iz Severodonjecka? A gdje ćeš sa svim ovcama?
- U ožujku nam je jedan čovjek donio krokodila. Rekla sam mu da ne znam što da radim s tim pa je pitao imamo li jacuzzi - rekla je Molčanova s umornim osmjehom. Na kraju su gmaza poslali u zoološki vrt u zapadnoj Ukrajini.
Kao i milijuni ljudi u Ukrajini, životinje u Green Groveu nose rane, fizičke i psihičke.
Neke životinje imaju vidljive ožiljke, ali neki od konja, rekla je Molčanova, savijaju se od stresa kad god čuju tutnjavu aviona u prolazu.
Tijekom razgovora za LA Times, oko Molčanove se stalno "motala" Fiesta, zlatna retriverica čiji su vlasnici u ožujku iz Harkova pobjegli u Njemačku. Nakon što su kujicu privremeno ostavili prijateljima u drugom ukrajinskom gradu, dom za nju potražili su na Facebooku. Tu ju je vidjela Molčanova, koja je odmah ponudila mjesto u Green Groveu.

- U početku su joj bile potrebne injekcije da se smiri. Čula bi glasne zvukove i samo bi se onesvijestila - rekla je Molčanova. Kako pišu novinari LA Timesa, tijekom njihova posjeta retriverica je djelovala sretno, sve dok je bila uz Molčanovu.
Neki od susjeda ove plemenite žene angažirali su se kako bi i sami pomogli pridošlicama.

- Naši susjedi ovdje su savršeni. Uzeli su pse, mačke i zečeve kao kućne ljubimce na nekoliko tjedana, samo kako bi im pružili ljubav prije nego što ih vrate ovamo - rekla je.

Bio jednom farmer s 10 ovaca, pčelar s 41 košnicom i kuhar sa 62 fazana i pauna. I svi su mirno živjeli na poljima i livadama mjesta zvanog Donbas.
Ali onda su ruski osvajači došli sa sjevera i istoka, a rakete su pljuštale oko njih, a poljoprivrednik, pčelar i kuhar su se pripremili napustiti svoje domove, pridruživši se milijunima drugih Ukrajinaca u egzodusu koji je postao najveća migrantska kriza u Europi od Drugog svjetskog rata.
Dok se njihovi vlasnici spremaju na put, kamo bi mogle otići ovce, pčele, kornjača, fazani i paunovi?
Odgovor je bio Green Grove, farma na rubu ukrajinskog sela koje je postalo neočekivano utočište za životinje raseljene zbog rata - i za neke vlasnike koji se od njih nisu imali srca rastati.

Sa sukobom u Ukrajini u svom četvrtom mjesecu i s ruskom vojskom koja prodire dublje na istok zemlje, život stanovnika potpuno je promijenjen, a njihovi domovi zbrisani su u topničkim paljbama.
Ratne nevolje mnoge su natjerale da ostave svoje životinje. Na otvorenim poljoprivrednim zemljištima na istoku to znači manje mačaka, pasa i drugih kućnih ljubimaca napuštenih u opkoljenim velikim gradovima kao što je Kijev, a više radnih životinja, koje je teže bilo premjestiti.
Nakon dolaska u Dnipro, središnji ukrajinski grad koji je postao glavna putna točka za one koji bježe s istoka, ljudi sa životinjama često pronađu svog spasitelja u 31-godišnjoj Evgeniji Molčanovoj, neumornoj ženi koja je drži i vodi Green Grove sa svojim suprugom Anatolijem Pilipenkom.
- Kad je počeo rat, osjećali smo da to moramo učiniti, jer nije bilo skloništa koja bi prihvatila te životinje bez plaćanja - rekla je Molčanova, u bijelim trapericama, majici kratkih rukava i kapici sa znakom farme.
- Koji novac možete uzeti od ljudi koji nemaju kuću? Odlučili smo ih primiti besplatno - dodala je.

Ta je odluka 14-mjesečnu farmu Molčanove i Pilipenka pretvorila u hotel za životinje. Osim spomenutih gostiju, popis sada uključuje desetke ovaca, koza, krava, svinja, konja, gusaka, kokoši i drugih vrsta peradi, zečeva, pasa, mačaka i par emua, a svaki tjedan donosi nove podstanare.

Naravno, to otvara pitanja upravljanja i upravljanja. Možete li držati male zečeve u blizini pasa? Gdje staviti egzotične ptice iz rezervata Askania-Nova, dopremljene čak iz Hersona na jugu koji je okupirala Rusija? Ima li mjesta za 18 konja koji uskoro dolaze iz Severodonjecka? A gdje ćeš sa svim ovcama?
- U ožujku nam je jedan čovjek donio krokodila. Rekla sam mu da ne znam što da radim s tim pa je pitao imamo li jacuzzi - rekla je Molčanova s umornim osmjehom. Na kraju su gmaza poslali u zoološki vrt u zapadnoj Ukrajini.
Kao i milijuni ljudi u Ukrajini, životinje u Green Groveu nose rane, fizičke i psihičke.
Neke životinje imaju vidljive ožiljke, ali neki od konja, rekla je Molčanova, savijaju se od stresa kad god čuju tutnjavu aviona u prolazu.
Tijekom razgovora za LA Times, oko Molčanove se stalno "motala" Fiesta, zlatna retriverica čiji su vlasnici u ožujku iz Harkova pobjegli u Njemačku. Nakon što su kujicu privremeno ostavili prijateljima u drugom ukrajinskom gradu, dom za nju potražili su na Facebooku. Tu ju je vidjela Molčanova, koja je odmah ponudila mjesto u Green Groveu.

- U početku su joj bile potrebne injekcije da se smiri. Čula bi glasne zvukove i samo bi se onesvijestila - rekla je Molčanova. Kako pišu novinari LA Timesa, tijekom njihova posjeta retriverica je djelovala sretno, sve dok je bila uz Molčanovu.
Neki od susjeda ove plemenite žene angažirali su se kako bi i sami pomogli pridošlicama.

- Naši susjedi ovdje su savršeni. Uzeli su pse, mačke i zečeve kao kućne ljubimce na nekoliko tjedana, samo kako bi im pružili ljubav prije nego što ih vrate ovamo - rekla je.
